Bournemouth 2-3 Spurs

Gomez (Paqueta), Paqueta (Wendel) ; Aguero (Asensio), Aguero (Eriksen), Asensio (Eriksen)

An open game where ultimately Spurs defence coped better with the opposing threat. Neither side played with an orthodox dm, and with both sides committing players forward in attack this helped to create an open match with plenty of chances. The high tempo midfield trio were a real strength of the home side and they caused Spurs a headache throughout. The away side's wide players helped to create plenty of space for the Spurs midfield and this quality proved to be the difference, creating chances that Aguero thrived on.

MOTM: Eriksen

Everton 1 - 2 Liverpool

Sterling (Kovacic) ; Dybala (Keita), Kane (Silva)

There was little to seperate the quality of these sides, and the home side can count themselves a little unfortunate. Both sides had real quality in attack to hurt the other but Liverpool were more organised defensively. The pendulum could've swung either way in an end to end game but a strong gameplan and the quality of the subs gave the away team a real chance.

MOTM: Keita

Arsenal 1 - 2 Newcastle

Cavani (Costa) ; Salah (James), Suarez (Robertson)

The away side sought to control the game and did just that. The home side's midfield struggled to cope, and this made it difficult to get into the game. The pace of the Arsenal wide men and the creativity in midfield however led to some quick attacks but overall the away team deserved the win.

MOTM : Koke
