I wouldn't include Arsenal in this, Sandy. They will fall well short of fifth place in my opinion.

Yeah there's only a top 5 in reality so 24 points up for grabs. Certainly still a significant number of points though but I think the results between us 5 will have the points spread out fairly evenly so the league is going to be won and lost by how we all fair against the other 15 teams.

Wouldn't be totally surprised if one of the top 5 went and beat all the remaining 15 teams home and away. Most likely City and that would deliver them the title.

Arsenal are hard one to predict. Easy to say theyll fall well short when you look at their squads quality being far weaker than the rest of the top 5, change of manager, transition and seeing how bad they can be.

I have to include them mate, because they are good at beating the smaller sides at home, although their away record is very poor compared to the others. But hey ho. I am a very fair man, so have put them in.

Maybe if we decide to go for the fa cup and europa double.

Spurs going for the putting the pressure on trophy again?

I doubt it, City will sweep up vs the lesser sides which alone will be enough barring an AVB at Chelsea esque big game record.

We need a year to fully adapt to Sarri so will drop avoidable points, Arsenal will need about 2/3 with Emery while Spurs and Liverpool are partial to a struggle vs a parked bus.

I think the title usually goes to the team who gets the most points against the bottom 14 teams. If you can combine that with a few draws and wins against fellow members of the top 6 you're set.

Anything can happen though and you have a few class players when they decide to turn up

its really a top 5 now tbh sandy

arsenal are in a mini league with everton, burnley, and possibly crystal palace if they have a good season

Shame that one of the top 5 has to miss out and play Europa. Whilst we haven't produced a team that has won the competition for a while, we have 5 teams that will be among the strongest and go deep in the competition.

The Europa is a great opportunity for Arsenal and Burnley to play european matches but in reality it's considered a burden for the club that misses out on the top 5.
