Fergie had his moments tbf. You have to take the whole package.

.....................

A few moments in near on 30 years at the club.

Jose has pretty much been asince he walked through the door.

He was OK for the first few months to be fair to him lol.

Schweinsteiger would probably dispute that

He's had 5 transfer windows and 400m to sort out the defence if that's the reason for his more cautious than ever approach.

And he has signed a few defenders let's not forget. Neither of which have worked out so far and don't look like they ever will either.

Whilst I agree that's theres more wrong at the club than Jose...he's simply not coached this team well at all. So many players constantly out of form who we have seen do much better.

A great manager creates the right conditions (both tactical and psychological) to allow his players to shine and deploy their talent for the good of the team. Jose ceased to be a great manager the moment he turned football into a competition among star managers and decided to use the players and the resources of the club to improve his record and satisfy his ego. The competition with Guardiola is killing José. Make no mistake about it. Jose can still succeed and win trophies, but not in a league where Guardiola is thriving.

Fair comment. I'm also not convinced Jose has bought well. Obviously managers have always made mistakes in the transfer market and the way fees are today, those mistakes are less tolerated by fans. I think Bailey is a great player who has been plagued by injuries, but other than that, how many of those signings were really Jose's? I don't think he ever wanted pogba.

Again, I see your point and I agree that he should be getting more out of these players, but what if he is right about them?

Shaw had issues with LVG too.
Pogba had issues with Sir Alex.
Martial has an attitude prob and Sir alex would have sold him if he pulled any of that stuff with him.
Rashford should be playing as a striker in my opinion, but hey ho.
Lingard has improved.
Herrera has regressed.
Smalling improved.
Jones improved.
Rojo was never good enough imho.
Sanchez wasn't needed and looking a bit out of place tbh, but potentially a risk worth taking depending on who you speak to.

I agree with you, but trying to see things from Jose's perspective as he has done miles better with his teams of the past.

I like Jose. He needs to sort his head out though. Chill, manage Portugal for a while.
