Think Lichtsteiner has a case to be given a chance over Bellerin. Think sometimes Bellerin is left exposed by his team mates, and by him being told to get up the pitch. But he’s still waiting often at fault for giving wingers too much time and space

Ramsey was supposed to play a nominal no.10 role today, but too many passes backwards. He doesn't have the spatial awareness, vision, precision or the timing in his passing to be effective in the role.
Torreira as always had a good, settling effect on the midfield with effective passing and instant control. If he were like 2 inches taller and a little more bulked up, he'd be perfect for the role. I still worry he'd be overpowered in the PL.
Xhaka made an error or 2 but had a good game in my opinion. I know many want him dropped, but for who?

Agree with you which is seldom.

Ramsey worse than Xhaka. Guendouzi slows down our built up as well.

Shut it GT. Xhaka on present form is a liability and should not be starting.

Watch it again, Dux. Xhaka played an awful pass into a Cardiff player. He gave the ball onto Bellerin's side. We had more players back when the ball came into our box. What Monreal did there I dont know. You cant call that defending there. Xhaka desperate to prevent that goal but the ball was played
....................

Granted. But ffs, where the heck was Bellerin off to at that time of the game. He provided the option for the Xhaka misplaced pass

Bellerin is our weakest link in defence and I don't believe it has anything to do with those infront of him. Monreal doesn't get that much protection either, but never looks as vulnerable as Bellerin. Bellerin simply never seems to get anything right in defence. Despite his pace, he gets run ragged frequently and routinely allows crosses through. His positional awareness is poor. He can't tackle. He is lightweight and gets physically bullied. He's just an abysmal defender.

If he could compensate for his defensive weaknesses with his ability going forward, I might even cut the guy some slack, but he's just a pace merchant in attack. Can't dribble. Can't cross. Passes back and sideways a lot. Just about makes a few good runs off the ball like Walcott did.
We're saddled with a really mediocre player.

Disagree Xhaka had a good game. Aside from the obvious mistakes, he was slow and ponderous all afternoon.
You all know how I feel about Ramsey. Bang average.
Kante is not bigger than Torreira who has to start the next game in place of Granit.

Ramsey isn't very good on the ball, but he won't pathologically concede the ball in dangerous situations.

Couldn't agree more. Should have been shipped to Juventus couple of seasons ago when it appeared they were interested
