How did our International Players do?

I'm still here Ramdini. I have to say Tommy Lawrence scored a really good goal for Wales v Republic of Ireland. The best Welsh player though was Ampadu who we wanted on loan from Chelsea. He was terrific and seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and was bossing the other players about, one to watch I reckon.

I don't think any of our other players had any game time, Wilson and Ledley stayed on the bench. Keogh also stayed on the bench and obviously was at fault for Ireland's defeat! Cyrus played for Ireland as a right midfielder and Will Hughes wasn't even picked at all.

I bet you enjoyed the cricket, I was thrilled when Cook got his century. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he doesn't make a comeback next year, he's only 33.

I'm looking forward to the next league matches, the International break seems to last for a month. I think Frank is becoming an excellent manager and I like the feel good factor. We are on our way to the promised land.

And JR starts for Scotland tonight. Sublime already, will report later.

Note how Scotland and Ireland have gone backwards since they stopped picking Derby players.

Good point. Indeed I was making the point that Derby have gone backwards since we stopped picking Scottish and Irish players. Except we seem to be improving

Thanks VC for a very comprehensive answer. Yes it was great to see Cook get his last hundred (maybe, as you say, not his last) it will be hard to find a better opener. Can't see anybody vying for that - not Jennings I think.

Meanwhile - Football - Is Ampadou signed up with anyone? Like you I'm eager to get back to PP and am very, very optimistic about this season. Frank is proving to be a good manager and handles his men better than we've seen before. There's a certain aura of completely unbiased objectivity about him and what is best for The Rams. I think it was a shrewd move by Mel. The value of a season of Mount's influence is priceless. Bennett and Bogle will benefit no end as will other youngsters - to the great advantage of our future as a club. Thanks for the update.

Mount scored one and made one in the U21's win. Tomori played centre back.

Keogh is captain of Ireland tonight. Wonder what 666 will make of this.

Keogh captains the ROI, at fault for the late Polish leveller and blames all and sundry around him, it's actually embarrassing.

The quicker Tomori and Davies get it together the better.

Always good to have a skipper on the bench, a starry eyed surprise for the youngsters, hopefully.

Bloody hell Igor, youv'e changed your tune

Check my history on the matter mate, I've run with the hare and hunted with the hound regarding Keogh, Heart and passion yes, Captain and reliable no.

But to see him berating some young Irish players tonight when it was clearly his fault was indefensible and especially as Captain, looked like he wanted to be the big man captaining a winning away team after the debacle against Wales

Believe me, Frank will have noticed it.

I reckon 666 owes you a pint and you are making sure you get in his good books so he coughs-up?

At least 666 has been constant, I've sat on the fence and praised and slated in equal measure, more shame me.

Without doubt, the man is a liability, forget being picked by every other manager, none had the gonads to do the right thing.

Frank has and surely will.

Fed up with sentiment and days gone by of what might have being with him, he's a fecking two leaf shamrock.

I wonder if he's manged to avoid eye contact with Roy Keane, (tricky with his Marty Feldmans)?

At least Marty's job was to be funny.

Seriously I've enough of the pandering around him, it even seems on here here that it's a pantomime with 666 and any willing adversaries to defend him.

Squad player at best now, why the feck we didn't pull out all the stops for Terry or Flint this season is beyond me.

Noooooooooooo to JT, he's the football equivalent of Boris Johnson, (and he's past it now).

Who cares, you voted brexit FFS, this is mild.

How anyone who’s seen his hysterical blame game whenever he screws up still gives him an armband is beyond me.

Bottom line is that throughout his time at the club Keogh has been amongst the best two centre backs available.

He has strengths and weaknesses, just like every championship player... otherwise they'd be premiership players.

It's concerning that his unforced errors seem to be becoming more frequent, when as a very experienced player now he should know how to avoid them by and large.

I suspect maybe he's feeling the pressure of Davies imminent return, and then - perhaps - not being first choice. Depends if Davies and Tomori can form a partnership.

... and back to the OP, Mason Mount set up the equaliser for Abraham's and scored the winner himself in the U21's 2-1 away victory over Latvia. By most accounts a man of the match performance
