Yeah I'll be very surprised if Keita doesn't start. This is the type of game where his aggression could be a real asset. I just hope our other Africans come back fit and firing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate these type of stereotypes & generalization as an African myself. Everytime an African player is described, they're often described as ''Strong, Full Energy, Aggressive''. Sorry if I come across as being pedantic but it's something that gets on last nerve. African players are more than burly fellas who do a lot of running. They are also tactically astute, technically proficient, and have a good football brain. Please stop stereotyping them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

WTF
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's so hard to understand?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't understand what you mean by stereotyping in this post : "Yeah I'll be very surprised if Keita doesn't start. This is the type of game where his aggression could be a real asset. I just hope our other Africans come back fit and firing."

I don't see any stereotyping there at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
When people talk about European players, they always remark on how intelligent they are etc. Whe they talk about African players, much emphasis is placed on their athleticism. They are reffered to as work-horses (i.e Kante), Powerhouse (i.e Yaya Toure & Drogba), and many more. This is rather disturbing & I, as an African, take umbrage to this.

Milner over Wijnaldum. Milner has been one of our best players this season and is rested. Wijnaldum was none existent in the last game and is poor away from home against the better teams in the league

Wijnaldum has to be playing in the holding role. Ain't a coward on the ball like Hendo. Milner and Keita should also start. Back 5 should stay the same. Front 3 as well of course. Wijnaldum is quality in the 6 role. Keeps the ball well and can twist and turn out of trouble and doesn't put pressure on his defenders like Henderson does.

But he didn't mention anything like that.

Let's go through it sentence by sentence

1. "Yeah I'll be very surprised if Keita doesn't start." - That's okay isn't it?

2. "This is the type of game where his aggression could be a real asset." Nothing wrong there is there? Keita IS an aggressive player.

3. "I just hope our other Africans come back fit and firing." Nothing wrong there either that I can see?

Which bit exactly are you taking umbrage with? You're either misreading the post, or are one of those people who are constantly looking to be offended.

Chill.

Umbrage

Who do you think you are?! If you walk around in life looking for reasons to be offended you won't last long.

I don't think anybody uses those characteristics alone to describe players like Eto'o, Salah, Mahrez, Mane, Keita, Drogba etc.

They are all fantastically gifted footballers. Doesn't mean some of them were stronger than other players on the field, which was certainly true for Drogba.

Bet you're the type that gets offended by this but then says things like "old fashioned English centre forward".

Agree with this, although Shaqiri is probably pushing Salah and Mane hard, especially Salah who hasn't been on form this season.

I still dont think Shaqiri will be playing wide much and he rarely plays on the left anyway. Can see him coming in centrally if we're needing a goal though.

Yeah I see him central and advanced of the two other midfielders myself, much like preseason, and where he played last season for Stoke a lot.

Can't see Salah being dropped for any league games unless we go deep in the cups.

Hoping we line up with Rose & Aurier rather than Trippier & Davies as we'll need their pace and strength to deal with Salah and Mane.

I wouldn't leave out Milner with the two week rest he's just had.

Would be a bit daft tbh.

Hendo is in. He's not been playing match, the England minutes should help.

Keita for the energy and also because Wij can never score an away goal.

Hendo, Milner and Keita for me.
