These guys.
What pointy said.
I couldn’t imagine my child having to make that perilous journey. It’s great these guys giving these kids a bit of happiness in a world of sadness and fear
Alastair Nathan Cook, CBE
One if not the best English cricketer of all time
161 tests
91 one day internationals
Scoring 38 centuries
He scored over 12’000 runs making him the 5th highest of all time
He retires at the age of 32 on the back of another century against India last week.
Away from Cricket he is has supported on cancer charities in particular the Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Everyman Campaign (focus on awareness of testicular cancer).
One of the great British sportsmen of all time.
I know we don’t have much appreciation for Cricket in Scotland however this gentleman is more than worthy.
Well played Alastair.

However he played far more matches than the real greats. A test batting average of just over 45 is no grest shakes and doesn't even put him in the top 10 Englishmen. The only current batsman on that list is Joe Root. Funnily enough that list contains one Scot, Douglas Jardine.

Feck the cricketer.
He's had praise and recognition for years & is a very rich man.
A joint Award to the clowns and Young Carers.
I'm taking a group of YC's on a camping expedition on Monday.
They canny wait.
3 X 12 mile hikes up hills and camping is a doddle compared to their
daily routine.
Their childhood has been indefinitely postponed.

My kids are fluent in French, so although I respect you as a poster Pointy, I'll treat that statement with the contempt it deserves.
