Too much was made of that shot to save ratio for club and country. Other than the Ronaldo goal there wasn’t really any in there you’d expect any keeper to save

He was poor in the Savilla match and one game for Spain which I couldn’t care less about. That’s about it.

I have never liked it when people say DDG 'saved us points' or 'bailed us out'.

He had to make a very good save at the end, he didn't have to do much else apart from Deeney's shot which was straight at him in the first half. Those are saves you expect him to make.

I find its a bit like saying Ronaldo constantly bailed out Madrid for scoring all his goals.

Both were fairly easy saves to make, you'd expect any top league keeper to make them.

At full speed it's a very good save. The cameras have a way of making them look easy.... As does De Gea.

His reaction time is unreal.

A big well done to Ben Foster for keeping Watford in the game in the 1st half.

Both saves were close to De Gea but the first one was at speed, it was a very good save.

I don't think the saves were that spectacular tbh, routine saves right at the keeper, any decent keeper should be making. The shot bottom corner with pace that he managed to hold was more impressive than the header that was well within diving distance and the shot over his head he tipped over.

Most keepers parry that shot into danger or out for a corner, the top keepers have the handling to catch em hit at that speed.

He makes the easy saves look difficult and the difficult ones look easy. But it's the easy ones people focus on as he has made them look spectacular. People are silly.
