Of course, as expected, this whole article has turned into how awful the United States is.
Do you Brits have anything else to talk about? Why not discuss issues happening in your own back yards?

Only if you stick to watching American rounders instead of watching English sports like football.

Black men getting shot like nothing in America. Recently, police woman allegedly goes into wrong room, shoots her colleague.
Player decides to protest, peacefully may I add. They have all said numerous times it has nothing to do with the flag, and people are still banging on about it. Happy to see a man still standing up and fighting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they are not stop perpetuating this dangerously stupid myth.
you have more chance of being stung to death by a wasp than being shot by a cop in america.

The average American has more of a chance of dying from falling from their bed than being a victim of a terrorist attack. That didn't stop US & Nato from ''declaring war on terror'' & spending Trillions of dollars in the process.

What this article and articles like these get me thinking - and i have repeated this stance ad nauseam on this board- is: 'Is there room for Politics on ja606'?
By and large, denizens of ja606, like denizens of the world at large, are not really capable of intelligent debate.
Most importantly though, ja606 is a sports site and should remain as that.

I completely agree with that. The problem with both celebrity culture (of which sportspeople are a part of nowadays) and the Internet is that it gives people a voice about everything, regardless of how valid it might be.
I’ve made the same point about politics on this board continuously too. Admittedly, I’ve been guilty of hypocrisy in that as I’ve contributed to threads about it as well, i’d still rather there weren’t any though.

The average adult size for a female is 8.2 feet (2.6 meters), and the average size for a male is 11.2 feet (3.4 meters). Exceptionally large males can reach a weight of nearly half a ton or 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms). The American alligator is found in the United States from North Carolina to the Rio Grande in Texas.

The only one making thick comments is you, they are also completely untrue
When you say 'they', you are referring to more than one comment. Let's have a look at my comments....
1. Black men getting shot like nothing in America.
2. Recently, police woman allegedly goes into wrong room, shoots her colleague (I believe this is a fact because she has been charged with manslaughter)
3. Player decides to protest, peacefully. Kap has not been violent nor has any of the other NFL players sitting.
So again, you have blessed us with another stupid comment. Because two of my comments are facts. My word you are a high grade idiot.
1. Black men getting shot like nothing in America.

This.
Didn't read the rest, after this nonsense nothing else in it was taking into consideration.
Also hilarious how people will praise nike to the high heavens for this but will not give a chit for their business practices and having their gear made in sweatshops
Odd morale compass.

''The whole Colin Kapaernick saga had me thinking. Is there room for politics in sports?''

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, would you rather then that they be censored?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What, sportspeople? Not particularly

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The average American has more of a chance of dying from falling from their bed than being a victim of a terrorist attack. That didn't stop US & Nato from ''declaring war on terror'' & spending Trillions of dollars in the process.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that is interesting, but also irrelevant to anything
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just as relevant as your Wasp comment. Surely you are not this thick??

The only one making thick comments is you, they are also completely untrue

When you say 'they', you are referring to more than one comment. Let's have a look at my comments....
1. Black men getting shot like nothing in America.
2. Recently, police woman allegedly goes into wrong room, shoots her colleague (I believe this is a fact because she has been charged with manslaughter)
3. Player decides to protest, peacefully. Kap has not been violent nor has any of the other NFL players sitting.
So again, you have blessed us with another stupid comment. Because two of my comments are facts. My word you are a high grade idiot.

Also hilarious how people will praise nike to the high heavens for this but will not give a chit for their business practices and having their gear made in sweatshops
Odd morale compass.
