Such a constructive post.

Albrighton is a solid 7/10 player. Always reliable, will never let you down. He’s been dropped by every manager at Leicester, and brought back in by every manager.

Why?

Because he brings more to pretty much every formation than other.

Respect to his consistency and willingness to continue working and adapting to each manager.

He had 19 assists and Kevin De Bruyne had 43 in the last 3 full seasons. Yeah, I see what you mean.

That wasn't sarcasm. I just highlighted how many Kevin De Bruyne had in comparison. But you are right.

We could afford to drop Albrighton (not necessarily fairly) in the because of Kante providing x2 defensive work, Mahrez’s creativity and our formation - none of these are currently applicable and although there is Mendy and Ndidi together now, in this formation Albrighton is imperative. The only formation where I would suggest he was a bench player would be 352...but as mentioned, surely we try 4411 now we have more attacking full backs, two competent defending midfielders and Maddison to sit in the hole...in fact, it just seems completely bloody obvious, the only other alternative would be 352 if we wanted to prioritise wing backs as that would allow for a ball player like Drinkwater in a 3 centrally. But we don’t have hat player at the minute and it would mean no starting place for Gray/Ghezzal and probably, as mentioned Albrighton....and of course....it’s completed untested like the 4411 (which could now be utilised again and enhanced!)

...at least there is some argument between those two formations ....but I see nothing, absolutely nothing, that should be suggesting 4-2-3-1 is even in contention let alone be our regular and rigid formation!!

No offence Glory but I don’t see the point in the comparison?? De Bruyne is one of the best players currently on the planet.....? It still doesn’t mean Albrighton isn’t/hasn’t been effective or been a consistent quality player for us?? I think Messi is better than Vardy .... but ....

I’m aiming higher - Joint owner (obviously with just my business know-how as input as opposed to financial)

Free beer burgers and ‘we love a trier: Akinbiyi’ t shirts for everyone!!!

I heard a story the other day that Akinibiyi was nearly completely blind in one eye but didn’t tell anyone! Apparently when he was looking for the ball from one side he had no peripheral vision at all and had to completely turn his head when looking for a pass...which resulted in several farcical collisions with cones and such in training....is this common knowledge and I completely missed it!?

Like writing anything here there isn't actually much life changing point. I just found it interesting and possibly worth pointing out as to how many the number one on the list had got.

You also need to handicap the stats with who the player plays for surely.

To be at a Club the size of Leicester with our ups and downs and be in the Top six for that time is pretty incredible.

You'd expect top players at Top Clubs creating far more chances to be high on any stats list.

Be interesting to know if there's any stats for Simpson, like how many times did he save a goal by being in the right place for a right back?
