Armchair plastics rule!

The trick is this...
Every part of me inside screams get rid, but that's because that is
a) What we are used to
b) Not had a keeper who is as good with his feet
c) not had a philosophy that 10 outfield players bought into
My teeth do grind and eyes widen for a second, then I see us play 4 neat passes which results in Kalvin Pirlo free in space n the middle and I think this is what we are now.
Sure we will inevitably make mistakes at the back, BPF may even have a howler or two in him this season.
However we are more robust and consistent, that is what will hopefully take us up (Long way to go).
I personally seriously seriously hope MB reconsiders his feeling on needing another CB in January.
AZA.. yeah that happens to me, my first thought when we're passing around the back is 'OMG just get it up the park'... we're not Barca fans so we don't see this way as the norm...
you know what though, I'd of agreed with you ref another CB a few weeks ago, but remember thinking myself vs Preston, actually thats a decent backline..
Ayling.. Pontus... Cooper... Douglas
............... Pirlo................
Interesting story about keeper in another Bielsa team who was told to always kick it into touch as certain opponent was awful at throw ins. Said his fans regularly barracked him as they weren’t aware that’s what he was being told to do!

Jonty, I heard a story that when O'Leary was manager the GK was told to kick it to the left towards Kewell.. the point was that 9 / 10 it would go into out for a throw in, but 1 / 10 it would break to Kewell on the left - not sure how true it was but I can believe it
Read that too.
Plan was to give them the ball deep in their own half with a throw in and box them in.
Must have looked awful in the stands though.
Where you sit because haven’t heard this, is season at all
Sometimes they do need to get the ball long. As I said the other day, playing out of the back can benefit from the ability to go long. It isn't inherently a bad thing.

Got to mix it up to reduce predictability.
Think you're making it up Chorley, in fact I'll go the full hog, you're attention seeking.
Few issues.
We look very unstable at the back sometimes when trying to play out
Sometimes the pass from BPF is to a player who under immense pressure and it is a very strange pass to make
The tactic is clearly to make space - if we have three of their players pushing up on our defenders and their whole team presses up towards the half way line, there is more space for our midfielders when they get the ball and more space behind them for a ball over the top. It has been effective when worked, but it is heart-stopping when it appears so dangerous at the back
How many goals have we conceded from the situations discussed?
