Mig is a good shot stopper if you use your eyes rather than stats which don't tell you have difficult the save was, amongst other things. Save percentage is an unreliable stat.

Something too difficult for you to understand here?
Let's dumb it down a little.
Mignolet has ten shots against him, in a system where attacks against you are likely to expose you when they succeed, with a high line and press, ten are 'expected goals'. He saves five of them. He has a 50% save percentage.
Dr Gea has ten shots against him, in a system where the defence are low and midfield closer to them, with a slow build up, 2 are 'expected goals', he saves 8 of them. He has an 80% save percentage.
Who has done better?
I'll help you out, it's Mignolet, despite the flawed stats suggesting otherwise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
are you seriously suggesting Mignolet is a better keeper than De Gea, stop drinking drain cleaner nutter.

I give up with it to be honest.
On another note - I believe Allison has the best save percentage this season, not counting keepers with only a couple of games. Worth noting that a Cruyff turn, losing the ball and the opposition scoring is another example of save percentage being a flawed stat.

In the hypothetical scenario provided, he’s suggesting keeper A is better than Keeper B based on the nature of chances and the system as opposed to statistics.
As for replacing names - you might want to check the preceding post where that hypothetical was applied directly to Mignolet
