That was the last game so it looks like Liverpool are the champions in the BIG 7 league

So with 2 games in the next week against the top 6 here’s a reminder where we stand this season at the halfway point.

The most disappointing result was at Arsenal where we should have won the game, however Mahrez not being able to keep his pen in our atmosphere was lucky for us versus city.
2 straight forward wins against the totts and Utd,both should have been by bigger margins though.

I would say a good return from the games to date.

We can definitely batter arsenal, watched them a few times and they are open. At the mo they also have a few injuries in defence.

We should win this

Quite a few people thought the same last time. We should win but I'm wary.

All this shows is that City's players pick and choose when they turn up. The "biggest game ever" against United they'll always turn up. Gives them a chance to show how blue their balls are.

But when the challenge has really been thrown down you have their manager saying they're better than last year (clearly nonsense) and trying to get everyone to believe a rhetoric that nobody is believing any longer

Wary but we should have to much for them at home.

As for United,

You don't need a mini league table to see how far away we've been. The table itself tells that tale

It’s more like two mini leagues of 3 nowadays

Liverpool
City
Spurs

—————-
Chelsea
Arsenal
UTD

Surprising how far behind those 3 are, in such a short space of time. Next year, other teams will also move above some of them for sure.

This year the 6th of those may move above one or two of them tbh. Not because we're suddenly great under a new manager. But we're definitely less bad

I think you can give it a good go for forth, the Europa League could play a big part

In fact many said we would beat them easily last time including their own fans like Merson and Ian Wright. Turned up they played their best game. It won't be easy this time either. They have looked open becuase they are an attacking team but when they play against top 6 they make it tight. Only lost twice against the top 6. City first game for Emery and then 2nd game for him against Chelsea. Both were tight games. Beating Spurs and drawing with Liverpool and United. They have injuries and we have injuries. In Auba and Laca they can hurt us. But unlike last night, only one of them will start. Most probably Auba. They will change the formation to make it difficult for us. It could be 3-5-1. One big bonus for us is Bellerin and Moreal are out. They depend on them and Kolasinac with most of their offensive build up. Defensively they are not so good but have good pace and make good crosses. So just stop Kolasinac making those runs and deliveries then we could be fine. The rest of the team lacks pace. Auba has pace but he's like Sturridge waiting for the ball. Lacazette is more like Fermino.

Lmao Utd beat the worst 2 teams in the league and all of a sudden they are finishing top 4. They would have the same points with Mourinho still in charge.

Not sure, they will improve significantly though I think

Exactly! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I think united board conceded the sacking with the prospects of three new manager picking up some good wins as they timed it well. Poor Jose makes him look bad while Ole looks like a genius!

In for me, in for me! They all had it in for me!!

Sorry total nonsense

What I meant is that the sacking is deliberately timed with United easiest run of games

Makes Ole look like a messiah and the fickle and desperate united fans believe in the second coming πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

At no point did I say United would make top 4. But there's nothing in the way Arsenal and Chelsea are playing to make me think it isn't a possibility, albeit a remote one. In other words, neither of those two teams are great and they will give United opportunities to get closer. Are United good enough to avoid slipping up and actually apply the pressure? Time will tell
