All of this conversation has had the depth and knowledge that I would expect from the JA community. It's a blessing to be a part of such a high-brow forum.

Anyway, I thought everyone knew that we started off as Dundee Hibs. It's regularly referenced by Rangers fans on twitter who seem to hate us for it.

I liked that green centenary year kit you brought out.

I vaguely remember.

Played in tangerine in the top division once upon a time?

Just as an aside, did you know the whole of the Dundee Hibs team signed up for WW1 in the summer of 1915? Doesn't get the same attention as Hearts' Macrae's Battalion but it's extremely laudable that they did so. Two of the players sadly fell during the war. The players were still paid by the club during that period of service.

My great grandad got beheaded by a train down at the station back in the day. Don't know how that's relevant but HISTORY.

On track for a good post here if it doesn't get derailed. Always found JA a good platform for history.

I have a newspaper story about it. It's not on the internet as I imagine it was pretty slow back in the day.

Fair play to you grinding it out.

Must be rough being a United fan just now.

Whole club seems a shambles.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You make an interesting point.

But at what perspective do they look rank? While hanging loosely while you strut through the shower room, appendage swinging? Or looking up while you're restrained as someone, perhaps a larger gentlemen, slowly descends towards you, plums dangling, tormenting you as they edge closer to your mouth that is held agape, knowing that a teabagging is upon you, relentless, inescapable. And yet, and yet, you have that slight sensation of relief that it's not the hairy annus that will torment you instead.

I hope Neilson can do (significantly) better than his predecessors.

Sakes Ivan, he couldn't do any worse, could he?

Ivan is from Dundee. The harsh reality that it can always get worse is drilled into him.
