BB’s comment deleted? Can’t even remember what it was-something about NI?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I said that lafferty played for a country the bears love...he replied that no such country exists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did this mean NI does not exist in barry's heid, or bears love no nation?😏
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It exists alright, but its never been a country. It is not a sovereign state. It has no official flag, no official anthem etc.. That is why some people call it "the province" or "Ulster" both of which are incorrect, if it was the province of Ulster it never would have existed as the majority of real Ulster would actually be nationalist/republican. Instead it is a manufactured false entity. That is why it does not work. In my opinion (rightly or wrongly) this falsehood will not exist within 10-15 years. It`ll be welcomed back to an all Ireland, as it should be.

Or you could also correctly call it a reunified Ulster..

Very poor of lafferty to just not turn up. No reason or even a phone call.

As expected he has went back to being the player he was first time around at rangers.

Only person I parodied there was you I’m afraid.

That’s the lengths and nonsense you go to.

Interesting that it stumped you. I’ll need to parody you more often

That is an opinion, and most people know there is a wee country called Northern Ireland,,with a fleg, anthem,,culture, history, language and tradition....Like any other nation, state or region.

It does work and most protestant and Catholic people here make it work.Only a handful of hardline republican nutters want To make NI fail.

We just want to live our lives and not obsess about the kind of political dogma you are posting here.

Perhaps you still think everyone is seeking a catholic, gaelic nationalist 32 county republic, or a Marxist republican state,,but both are fantasy.
Eire is now more hostile to the Catholic church than the orange order,,and twenty per cent of Eire citizens are born outside Ireland, so things have changed forever.

You talk about areas having nationalist republican majorities, but most folk in Eire and NI are not into such narrow stereotypes.....look around you in Dublin today and tell me that the old romantic notion of Ireland is anything other than a nostalgic memory.

Why you want one million Rangers supporting, unionists and loyalist people to further dilute your vision of nationalist republican Ireland is beyond me.

And how are you going to pay for Ulster, cope with accommodating the loyalist British identity, and what will happen to the sacrosanct GFA?πŸ˜€

It does not work. Never has and never will. You had a golden opportunity to actually make it work but your DUP leaders decided they didn't want the best of both worlds and instead put the union before the people.

We just want to live our lives and not obsess about the kind of political dogma you are posting here.

Cash for ash etc.. Your political leaders and the people who elected them live in a time gone by.

Perhaps you still think everyone is seeking a catholic, gaelic nationalist 32 county republic, or a Marxist republican state,,but both are fantasy.

Yes they have and for the better.

You talk about areas having nationalist republican majorities, but most folk in Eire and NI are not into such narrow stereotypes.....look around you in Dublin today and tell me that the old romantic notion of Ireland is anything other than a nostalgic memory.

My point was had Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan been included in the "Protesant state for Protestant people" it never would have existed. I'm glad you agree.

Why you want one million Rangers supporting, unionists and loyalist people to further dilute your vision of nationalist republican Ireland is beyond me.

That's your old fear and paranoia coming back. You've more to fear from London who really don't care mate.

And how are you going to pay for Ulster, cope with accommodating the loyalist British identity, and what will happen to the sacrosanct GFA?

I'm sure we'll cope. As you know NI cannot pay for itself, one of the reasons it has always failed. Maybe an Irish government looking after a part of Ireland will provide real initiative. As you well know every report into a united Ireland shows a huge economic boost to an all Ireland economy.

What we are seeing here right now is the last kick of a dying unionism.. It belongs in the past. It has never worked and will never work. The inevitable is just around the corner and your pal Arlene should be using her position to provide a positive outcome rather than weakening your voice by burying her head and stamping her feet.

Bb....if NI isn't a country or a sovereign state (I'm not sure what the difference is) what actually is it.

I'm asking because I'm really only a part-time bigot and I'm not entirely sure.

Why do the Irish dance with their hands at their sides?

Because their arms have been decommissioned

So we should break with the fifth largest economy in the world for economic reasons......joining a republic that has been hailed out by the Uk and Eu, and has had to export millions of people since you broke away from Blighty, because eire could not give Irish people lives with jobs or hope.

Remember, Eire broke away after hundreds of years and the North wanted to remain, so you leavers were the brexit boys of yester year.....And until you joined the eu, largely failed as an entity.

You say about unionism is dying, presumably based on sectarian headcounts of babies and kids at school, because there are still one million unionists and loyalists here, from various backgrounds, who are not going away.... so unless pira are going to kill us, unionism is alive and well and no matter what happens in the future, our traditions will live on.

You bring up cash for ash, and that was wrong, just like Sinn Fein backing terror, or getting money from the northern bank job.and say our leaders are from the past, yet You support Sinn fein, a hark back to centuries old physical force Irish Catholic Gaelic facism, murdering prods and brings for mother ireland.

My point about loyalists and unionists in any new unitary state was not based on fear of paranoia, but from the perspective of your hostility to anything to do with our traditions,,culture,,faith, or identity.

You slag is off then say, come here, we were only messing, we want to unite with you lovely orange bassas. We opposed you being here at all, but that was just craic, so Mon and let us rule yeez?😁

Personally, I would live in cork or Donegal tomrrow, but the above holds true.
