Spurs are on a par with Everton and Leeds

Liverpool fans are so bitter they are no longer considered a big club.

I have no problem saying we've been surpassed by many over the last couple of decades.

Our revenue lags behind Utd (by a long way), City, Arsenal and Chelsea. Our estimated fan base is smaller than Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea. All those clubs have also comfortably outperformed Liverpool in terms of trophies as well.

And that's just in the UK. Within Europe several clubs can point to being bigger in terms of revenue, fan base and success.

However, to claim that Spurs are comparable to Liverpool in terms of size of club is quite ridiculous. Our revenue and fan base are bigger and, despite our pretty poor trophy haul in recent years, it's still better than Spur'. We've at least won a major trophy when the year began with a 2.

Sandy, you're either blinded by your love ofor your hatred of Liverpool. Or maybe both.

Your fan base is not bigger, Spurs averaged a good 10,000 more than Liverpool last season, the only true way of knowing who has the most fans. Worldwide fans are a bit of a misnomenour, unless you have personally counted them all. All pure speculation.

I am old enough to remember when Liverpool could get barely 30,000 through the turnstiles at Anfield, whilst Spurs were getting crowds of near on 70,000.

“But, as ever, fans in the US outdid themselves in putting on a show for the players and staff during their special visit. From open training sessions to supporter events, Reds turned out in their numbers to show that distance is no barrier to their love for the club. Crowds of over 55,000, 52,000 and 105,000 watched Klopp's men in Charlotte, East Rutherford and Ann Arbor respectively, underlining LFC's special standing in world football”

My opinion here is I really just want a red kit and a clealry visible away kit. I don't wear kit round the street its not a fashion item i care baout.

The issue for me is fans will get done over irrespective.

a) nike.. long time utd backers and perpetrators of tea towl kit. Currently look second rate with only city, cheslea and barca

b) adidas.. current utd, real madrid and bayern. usuall kits are "ok"

For me there are no other kit suppliers worth a dman to pay us the money we need to take in.

new balance with respect are mickey mouse

Do you think that Spurs getting 10k more fans might have had something to do with you playing in a stadium that hold 90k people as opposed to Anfield's 55k?

I'll save you the suspense, Spurs will probably get more in the new stadium as well because it holds 62k.

You can be as dismissive as you like about worldwide fans but people are paid good money to look at it and answer the question. There is methodology and logic. It's certainly not just speculation unless you consider any statistical based work as speculation.

Popularity was only one factor anyway.

As I said before, blinded by either love of Spurs or hatred of Liverpool.

Liverpool are globally far bigger than Spurs, and every other club in Britain actually, bar probably United. There are still babies born in the higher reaches of the Himilayas named “Kenny Jnr”. Their success in maintaining such a large worldwide appeal despite a comparative lack of success over the past 2 decades is largely attributed to a cunning marketing ploy which dupes scores of supporters at the start of each season into thinking this year will truly be “our year”.

Spurs were bigger than Liverpool in the 1950s and 1960s. Liverpool were bigger than Spurs in the 1970s and 1980s. The clubs are now aroundabout the same. Neither have ever won the Prem. Neither have won much in the last decade. So Liverpool are not bigger than Spurs.
