Every team in World football would have Busquets in their side. That is not to say though that Dier is not also a good player.

Don't think Busquets is underrated at all, he's regularly talked about as one of the best DMs out there and a fantastic player that was a key part in those Barca and Spain sides.

Busquets is one of the most underrated players in history. He’s an unbelievably good footballer.

Everyone would probably class Barca 2009-15 and Spain 2008-12 as two of the best ever football sides. Well, Busquets played almost every game for both sides over those periods.

The real stars were:

Iniesta, Xavi, David Villa, Leo Messi etc.

I think out of all of the players that he played with, he was one of the more replaceable.

I get what he does and I think that he is a good player however the hype is very high at the moment and, in all honesty, I don't think most people that say he is one of the greatest can put an argument beyond "he was part of really successful teams!". Jumping and Bandwagon come to mind.

Busquets is the greatest DM of his generation

I actually think he was far more irreplaceable than the likes of Villa was.

Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets were a large part of how Barca suffocated teams with possession and controlled almost every game they played with ease.

Other forwards came in for the likes of Villa over the years and that midfield 3 stayed the same, they continued to control games.

Obviously Xavi and Iniesta were the stand out players in it, but the fact they didn't mind losing Yaya Toure is telling as well imo.

Unless they'd have bought someone like Pirlo, or Kroos then I don't see how Busquets was easily replaced in that trio.
