A very salient point-one which appears to be getting ignored. Leigh, for once, is looking longer term rather than the short term.

Was at the Tommy Burns supper in Edinburgh on Saturday night.
Griff was one of the guests...just came in for an hour or so. Said a few words. He did look a bit fitter and happier than previously.

Spoke to a few of the lads who were in his company...they claimed that he was getting fined a week's wages if he hadn't lost a kilo by Wednesday. Not sure about that.

So he pulled out to save a weeks wages cause he was chubby.

He didn't land on his feet, he was part of the whole idea in the first place.

Si was a really good footballer, just had as many injuries as me and now has the hips of a 45 year old.

Even if he did come up with the idea, it's hardly groundbreaking is it? Interview footballers and ex-footballer.

As i said i think he's good, just surprised someone with such a limited profile managed to land themselves that job.

He was very well liked and still is within the game.

These interviews if anything should make it easier for people to realise why he's in such a role.
