We missed 3 golden chances to score more goals. It's us in a nutshell. Lukaku, Martial and Rashford all guilty of being wasteful.

We look better with a front line able to press though. Lukaku can't run right now. He's put on way too much muscle. Bulked up like a Heavyweight Boxer and it's hampering him and us.

Tough to have a go at our bets performer for missing a chance with a minute to go. Sure martial should have scored but it was another great run and pickford stood his ground well.

Rashford pulled their defenders all over the place with his runs to create space for Pogba and Martial. Lukaku came on and it all stopped.

Lukaku a super flop 😂

We do have some cretinous fans

Someone tell Mrs Filter that a £90m striker whose first touch is composed of four touches and who predominantly scores against bottom half clubs (if he’s scoring at all) is most certainly a flop.

thats what i dont get with some fans on here. they want that attack attack attack mentality but to do that it means taking chances and not playing safe.

we cant criticize players for doing something silly trying things if we truly want to play hell for leather

Yes you can. When it’s silly mistakes like this in our own half that lead to goals it’s perfectly fair to criticise regardless of the approach you want the team to take.

Ferguson wanted to play attacking football, do you think he’d stand for something like that from Pogba?

There's a time and place tho.... Do it further up the pitch, back there play safe or lump it into space

did rio start the game after the 3-2 v City?

posted on 28/10/18

Dunno, your point being?

posted on 28/10/18

rio tried something more daft and we conceded.

didnt see him berate rio or drop him

you seem to be saying that Jose is happy when Pogba did that? because if he fergie wouldnt stand for it surely he'd publicy berate him, or drop him or do something else.

but he didnt - im trying to get to your point

You reckon Fergie didn’t absolutely slaughter him behind closed doors?

How am I saying Mourinho is happy with that? I’m saying that because we want to see attacking football with more risk doesn’t mean you can’t criticise Pogba for trying stupid flicks, that achieve nothing, in your own half that lead to goals.

If he’s trying it in their half trying to create something you’d have a point. It was just dumb from him, and something he’s guilty of doing a lot. It’s a lack of care and intelligence on his part, a big flaw in his game.

No I’m making the point that fans are allowed to criticise him just as Fergie would and he wanted to play attacking football.

posted on 28/10/18

not saying you cant criticize him. but again, by bringing fergie in youre saying jose was pleased to see it.

pogba plays the way pogba does, take it or leave it.

or would you rather jose shackle him and then spout out on here how jose wont take the handbrake off?

he either lets the players play their way or he controls them. common consensus on here is thats not a good idea.

so what do you think? I'd say in the last few weeks ive been more entertained than i have for a long time, so many of you were saying youd rather be entertained than bore your way to 2nd again.

are you not being entertained at the moment?

After saying this:

Bringing Fergie into it doesn’t mean I’m saying Mourinho would be pleased. How the fack have you got that in your head?

Or brought Fergie into it as he’s an example of someone that wanted to play attacking football but would have a go at his players for stupid mistakes like that, as he was well within his right to, and why we as fans are well within our right as fans to criticise.

Pogba plays the way he does, and this is one of the biggest problems with his game. When he’s on it, and the team is set up to help him express himself, the good far outweighs the bad. But that doesn’t mean we cannot criticise him doing stupid shiiiiit in the middle of the pitch.

No I haven’t been particularly entertained. We’ve shown more attacking intent than we often have under Mourinho, though only for about 45 minutes a match, mind. But I’m still not a fan of the style of play.

Getting the ball out wide and hoping for the best isn’t particularly entertaining for me. There was decent stuff to watch today for about half hour, but not enough to justify this weird defence you have of Mourinho when it cones to style of play.

--------------------------------------

so what point are you making by saying a former manager wouldnt stand for it? you are clearly saying our current one does.

you really are bitter. our last 3 games have been amazingly entertaining to watch. chances at both ends. we've been great, we've been awful all in 90 mins.

we've scored 7 and conceded 5 - thats entertaining to me.

i havent defended our style of play but i have defended that recently we've atleast tried to play, committed men forward dropped the so called undroppables.

at some point you just have to admit you wont be happy unless we win 5-0 every game.

interesting youre trying to make this a Jose thing though. clearly cant debate properly can you.

posted on 28/10/18

No I’m clearly trying to point out the flaw in the argument that you cannot criticise such stupid play if you want attacking football. It’s one of the most stupid things I’ve heard.

They really haven’t been amazingly entertaining to watch. Especially the Juve game, that was facking terrible.

You have defended the style of play. You’ve been doing it for ages because people criticise Mourinho.

It’s not about winning every game 5-0. You are suggesting people should be happy because we’ve shown a bit of attacking intent even though it’s not attractive to watch, it’s very predictable and lacking in skill and guile.

If you are happy with it because it’s less shiiiiiiiit than rhe majority of the stuff we’ve served up under Mouronho that’s your prerogative, doesn’t mean I have to. Nor many others that quite clearly won’t be either.

You of all people accusing me of being unable to debate properly is priceless.

posted on 28/10/18

see again youre taking this down a tangent because you are clearly limited in IQ.

i wish you would be more open about it then i wouldnt try debate with you like you're an adult.

you want attacking risk free football.

you think fergie wouldnt stand for that kind of risk, yet he has as I documented before.

why dont you just go away until we get a new manager and then start criticising him for us conceding goals because he's too gung ho.

trying to tie me to the jose in brigade so someone will come and help you here because youre clearly out of your depth

absolute moron you are dazza

I don't think Jose or any manager for that matter would have appreciated what pogba did in the lead up to the Everton goal. It was just so careless and unnecessary in a dangerous area of the pitch at a dangerous scorline approaching a pivotal time of the game. Having said that he could be forgiven for expecting one of his team mates to bail him out and not compound the situation by making an equally stupid blunder as smalling did.

posted on 28/10/18

Was silly from Smalling. I swear we have given away so many pens from silly challenges like this over the last few years. Better off letting them get a shot off. More chance De Gea saves it than a penalty.
