I don't think Jose or any manager for that matter would have appreciated what pogba did in the lead up to the Everton goal. It was just so careless and unnecessary in a dangerous area of the pitch at a dangerous scorline approaching a pivotal time of the game. Having said that he could be forgiven for expecting one of his team mates to bail him out and not compound the situation by making an equally stupid blunder as smalling did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
richarlson was running full pelt, 6 yards from the bye line a near impossible angle to score against someone like de gea, smalling just decided i need to bring him down.
even if he gets a shot off and de gea parries it back into the box, there was noone there to convert like happened with dybala or barkley
We actually playing really well this season but struggling to finish. Bit more like our 16/17 season form. Last season we were not playing well but average for most of it.

When Lukaku came on , it felt like the Utd side that we are witnessing this season. Then Herrera comes on and we are retreating!!
We are at OT, defending a 2 - 1 lead against Everton ffss. I was pi55ed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t think it quite happened like that
When Lukaku came on we were still creating chances. The Everton goal came from nothing and we never really looked like drawing that game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It just felt we lost the urgency when Rashford got taken off. Why are we retreating when we are the stronger side and playing at OT. And this UTD side cannot kept a clean sheet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We weren’t retreating though. We were bossing the game and misses a few chances. Then Pogba does a stupid thing and we concede a goal from nothing.
Ironically had we done the boring, shutting down of the game we’d have won that 2-0
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You surely can't know that little about football
Lukaku doesn't press defenders and doesn't make the same runs off the ball or chase as hard
It allowed Everton to defend higher up the pitch, and put pressure on our midfield easier as there's less room... This led to pogba getting caught while stupidly messing about on the ball
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂😂
We created 2/3 good chances when Lukaku came on. He’s really not to blame for Pogba making a stupid error.
Rashford presses defenders for the first 10 mins and then barely did anything. His audition was a failure. I do hope he gets another chance at Bournemouth but to blame Lukaku for us conceding a goal or some phantom sudden defensive tactic is stupid.
We were controlling that game with Rashford or Lukaku playing. Nothing changed bar Pogba getting a bit too over confident
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing more entertaining than a Man U supporter in bitter denial.
Pogba was stupid. No doubt about it.
Yes, he did some great stuff in the match but also did some dumb stuff (run-up to the penalty which should get him a fine if i was a boss ~) and that stupid mistake in our half. Keep that ish in the opponent's box.

for all the stick pogba will get for that error he shouldve had 2 further assists had the strikers finished easy chances. he was also denied by a phenomenal save by pickford.
i'll happily take one brain fade from him every game if he assists 3 goals and get on the scoresheet.
thats what i dont get with some fans on here. they want that attack attack attack mentality but to do that it means taking chances and not playing safe.
we cant criticize players for doing something silly trying things if we truly want to play hell for leather.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with this about Pogba. He needs the freedom to explore his creativity. With him you take the bad with the good. He created 4 chances for goals today with the same mindset, no one was critical of his creativty
We got a big game away to Bournemouth. 6th vs 8th. If we can win 0-4 we can leapfrog Bournemouth but any scrappy win will do.

Pogba pen could have been worse lol. He has been doing it for years lol.
Re. 2.
I don’t know how many times I’ve had to explain this on here, but here we go again...
Juan Mata was playing as a deep inside right and auxilliary ten yesterday, as he has done (in a couple of different ways) repeatedly under under Mourinho.
The role serves to provide additional support to the midfield by giving the number eights another option between the lines and by dragging opposition sixes out of position creating space for them to play in. This helps us move the ball up the pitch in central areas, allowing shorter, safer passes in the opposition third, and create overloading situations in small central areas.
From an on- and off-the-ball point of view, for a side playing a narrower game, you are also quite basically allowing another dangerous player to operate in an area of the pitch in which they can directly cause damage.
He can be brilliant in the role, and was very good yesterday. If you get the chance to watch the game again, you’ll find that during the middle third of the game, when we were playing the fluid, one-touch stuff and looked most dangerous, he was absolutely instrumental to our play. He was at the centre of it, knitting everything together through that whole phase of the game.
