what a rough few months for him
pulled from the spanish team righ tbefore the WC then dumped by madrid so early
You’re right in that they’re hiding, Daz. Worse still, some of them look like they haven’t returned yet from their summer break. Physical form looks really bad right now.
I’m unsure as to whether it would be a good or bad idea to get Conte in. Either all hell would break loose or he’d get a reaction by kicking their arzes into gear.
It’s also painfully obvious that while we’re not banging the goals in, we desperately need to shore up at the back.
Difficult to say I guess. Ramos’ recent comments don’t bode well for a taskmaster like Conte coming in. I think Carlo’s man management style and less attention to detail tactically is what best suits this group of players. It’s why Zidane was such a success.
Bring in Wenger, give him Neymar and Icardi and let him finish his career on a high
He’d win the Cop Del Rey.
Really want to see Wenger managing at another European club just to see how things work out.
Real have won 4 CLs in 5 seasons, that’s insane. There was always likely to be some reaction to that at some point. However good their players are, to continue that level and keep players hungry is so hard. Add the psychological impact of losing Ronaldo and Zidane and it was always going to be very hard to get on with things as normal.
Real are an anomaly in football, they rarely seem to be that stable yet still manage to be one of the best teams on the planet and will probably continue to be the biggest club in the world. They continue to hire managers with varying degrees of success and people will still claim they’re in a mess when they’ll more than likely end up winning a major honour not long after. Somehow it all seems to work alright with them, it definitely can’t be boring being a Real fan.
It does help that most of the other teams in their league are way behind them in terms of finances and reputation as well as their history.
But it is right, they made a mistake with the manager and have acted quickly. If we were more ruthless in some of our firing, we may not be in the mess we are in now. And we do need to take a look at how we go about the hiring process. We're far too patient.
Real aren't as bad as some Italian clubs though. Some of them have been through 3-4 managers a season. In one case rehiring a manager they fired earlier in the season.
It's better to act in owning up to hiring the wrong man and then get the right one in than to persist with the wrong man.
Real need you Jose
Don't keep them waiting
