Has Zaha hindered his own situation?

I didnt think it was a dive particularly, or certainly thought it was a penalty.

Id take him at Liverpool, yes.

He got into football quite late but is improving year on year which is a good sign. No idea what his attitude is like though.

I actually think there have been worst contentious decision, think it was probably a pen regardless of how he fell to the floor.

As for players going down etc, I can understand why they do due to the incompetent officials we have.

Just lastnight RLC was shoved by a derby player over the boarding at the side of the pitch about a metre from the lino, and nothing was given. Took RLC about a minute to get up. hazard aswell is persistently studded on the ankles.

How did he get into football late? he played for palace 1st team at 17 didn't he?

It wasn't a dive. Xhaka shouldn't have stuck his foot out. Definite penalty.

I'd take him at Arsenal. Very talented player but really needs to move on to progress with his career.

26 soon. I think his time has passed and will become a Le Tissier for Palace. Wasn’t he London homesick when he was at Manchester?

It was a clear penalty.

He wasn't given a blatent pen in the first half in fairness.

I only saw 60 mins before heading to our game so haven't seen the "dive".

He looks like Jason Lee with a Pineapple on his head, obviously before the nervous breakdown caused by Skinner and Baddiel WUMming him about it!

these days if a player doesn't go to ground then the ref won't give anything so can't blame players for falling over at the slightest contact, contact btw which 99% of the time none of us would get a pen for on a sunday morning

This. We saw it against United with Young's challenge on Hazard the other week. Whether it's a penalty by the laws of the game seems irrelevant with officials these days, you have to make the decision as easy for them as possible or it won't be given. The onus is on the defending player to make sure he wins the ball or doesn't stick his leg out (in Young's case he missed the ball anyway, was extremely lucky Hazard released it before contact was made).

Regarding Zaha potentially moving, think it's only a matter of time if he wants it (which he might not), maybe even to us. He feels like one of those players we'll take a punt on to keep the homegrown quota up. Can easily visualize him at Arsenal or Spurs too.

I think Zaha is fantastic. So disappointed he chose to play for Ivory Coast instead of England.
I do think he gets a bad rap when it comes to diving. He gets fouled all the time, and it seems that opposing managers often mention his diving ahead of time - as if to prompt the ref. He runs at speed, and it’s not surprising he falls when he’s kicked.
I’d take him at Chelsea in a heartbeat. I think he’s a great player - and that’s at Palace. At a top team he’d see even more of the ball in an attacking position and he’d make an even bigger impact. I’m not surprised Palace want a fortune for him though. It’s impossible to replace a player like that.

Zaha has always been a headless chicken. Crystal Palace is his level. Certainly not what Arsenal needs.

Given a chance...we have a similar player in RLC...and he's shown it of late too when selected

Do you even watch football?
Complete opposite of a headless chicken, he slows the play down for palace, works to make space for others, takes it past people and usually chooses the right decision.

Some people on this site are just ridiculous.,

RLC has many attributes, but he’s not similar to Zaha. And anyway, I don’t have a problem with them both playing for Chelsea - they did ok together last season at Palace.

Completely agree.

Many wont like me writing this but here is a list of white players who have been labelled headless chickens;

Not sure if this is wum or whatever. But are you actually correlating this to race?
Talk about a wild statement outta nowhere. Reign it in.

Zaha is a headless chicken. He does little to nothing productive with the ball. Zero creativity and intelligence to his play. There's a reason why him along with the likes of Depay didn't work out. He's not good enough.

I simply made a list of white players labelled as a headlesss chicken. Feel free to add.

If you think Zaha does nothing with the ball I dont know what to say tbh.

Although dubbed is completely incorrect.

Jesper Gronkjaer, Diego costa (at times), Luiz, torres, bouhlarouz, zappacosta just from my own club have been called hedless chicken, just off the top of my head.

But yeah dubbed's opinion is ridiculous either way.

I don't rate Zaha. Simple. Bringing his race up, even though I'm black myself makes you look like a bit of a tool tbh.

Its something I see all the time.

Walcott, Lennon, Zaha, Sterling, Ibe

And yet no mention of the likes of Albrighton, Etherington and Jarvis.

Really couldnt give a fvck if you agree or not.
