Only way I can see us gaving a chance is if City go really deep into the cups especially the LC as the fixtures get brutal in Jan after a busy Christmas period. After that Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton in a row in Feb.
If, and it's a big if, we're still in touch at that point we may have a bit if a chance.
Oh and we need to beat them at the Etihad
Obviously no fan ever really gives up but in order for any other team to have a chance City will need to slip up big time IMO.
I can't see them not making 90 points and more which could be an extremely tall order for anyone else IMO.
If you win 10-0 it will be all square. Will you putting a bet on that?
Sorry, that should read 13-0.
All these articles. Wait till atleast january boys
The league is in our own hands, we can even afford to draw one of our games now.
In all seriousness we are both going to lose matches between now and May, along with Chelsea. But as pointed out you will possibly need the win at the Etihad.

If we continue our goals scoring pace in a similar fashion throughout the season we could be touching a GD of +100.
When the other competitions really kick in though that's not going to happen.

why will thursday play a part, those weeks we pl on sunday afterwards so not different than champions league playing wed and sat. or sat/tues. thats just an excuse for not wanting to play Europa league but i hope we are in it to win it again, that way even if it goes tiits up in the prem we still get CL next season. We have players that know how to win the premier league so do city thats the big difference liverpool have gone almos 3 decades without a title win, that will be the difference. Neither city or Pool are looking any better than Chelsea, they too are scraping some results where they should be walking them. I think Chelsea are one defender and one Striker away from winning it this season, but i can see second being feasable.

Thursdays might not play a part but there is definitely a perception that playing on Thursday nights in the EL can be disruptive. Maybe it's just me.
Chelsea have a good a chance as any. I just think that Liverpool and City are stronger and will be the main contenders in the long run.
Some perspective needed. City are favourites everyone acknowledges it. But the other teams are still touching distance to them. After xmas we will start to see some teams dropping off. Then be a case of how any points behind the closest teams are to city.
Still all to play for. Good season so far.
There’s only one way of looking at it
City are far superior to the rest of us - De Bruyne out has made no difference to them whatsoever
It really is a question of how many points/ goals they’ll get and how many points they’ll win it by
Anyone taking about cathing them is obviously trying to look at the positives which there are for each club
The fact is we’re still unbeaten and it’s still only good enough for 3rd spot
Me personally I’ve wrote this season off - role on next season

City are actually doing better than I expected at this point.
It will be interesting to see what the table looks like come the turn of the year.

Not sure whether to take this with a pinch of salt or not
At this stage last season, City had 31 points from a possible 33. The nearest challenger had 23.
This in stark contrast to this season
City are 2 points worse off and the nearest challengers are only trailing by 2 points, which equates to a 1 game swing between now and May.
Yes. City are favourites and they should be for a number of factors but a write off!?!?!
Behave!
Anything can happen.

As i said in OP...
LFC beat spurs. Man city beat spurs
Man city beat arsenal, LFC draw with spurs.
There's 2 points between the teams as we speak.
So city played the sides in 15,16,17, 18, 19 and 20th in the table and beat them all...... so what? I mean that's what city have done.
They drew with wolves.... we beat leicester... those are the only mid top half type teams played by either side.
The ASSUMPTION is City are awesome and fair enough they look good.
Pinch of salt/anything can happen 😧😧
I have no doubt City may draw against a so called average side but I’ve also no doubt they’ll then go and win 10 league games on the trott scoring 40 and letting in about 4
Utd under Fergie were superb but they’d still lose a few games and draw a good few and still win the league - City unless they get hit with the Black Plague will stroll to the the title - the one thing that may happen they may be 18 points clear in March and then rest players for league games to concentrate on cups meaning they might drop points so they will only win the league by 6-10 points

If City can replicate anything close to last season, in terms of domestic success, I will be simultaneously surprised and euphoric in equal measure.
It'll all come out in the wash.
Roll on the Derby.

the Manchester derby is a big game. as was spurs.
The other teams.must win and whatever happens in derby they have to keep pace.
city's worst enemy is themselves... league cup, fa cup, cl will all be played for and certain players.like Silva are key... if tjey are tireed out then thats where city will fall back.
right now imo Lfc need to win their next 5. If tjey do then it's a title race
if lfc don't do it and a 5 or 6 point gap opens then city will manage through the busy times
