Anelka got almost double of Drogba's goals in thd Scolari/Hiddink season yet when i said the Frenchman had a better season Erik laughed and said i was wrong.

More contradictions!!!!

Lukaku had the better season last season. I thought his overall game improved. This season he’s gone back to being clumsy on the ball.

Morata started last season well but got worse and worse as the season progressed. He’s picked up a bit of form recently but is still missing some easy chances.

Don’t think any Chelsea fan would have Lukaku due to the way we play. Our striker is usually heavily involved in build up play and Lukaku would suck at that. Plus if you seen the crossing stats on BBC we put in the least successful number of crosses in the PL.

Not sure either player is good enough to lead a team to the title.

Because Drogba was dropped by Scolari for like 60% of the season and then came back under Hiddink and was the hero in both games vs Juventus, both CL games vs Liverpool, FA Cup Semi vs Arsenal, FA Cup Final vs Everton etc.

Anelka won the golden boot with 90% of his goals scored in the first half of the season in PL games agianst teams like Sunderland and West Brom that ended up not meaning anything.

Lukrapku has been less crap than Morshata since their moves to Utd and Chelsea. But it's marginal, let's be honest. And it's a boring debate anyway.

Bring back Gerrard vs Lampard
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is 27 goals for Lukaku vs like 8 for Morata last season marginal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morata got 15 last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Lukaku got nearly double the goals yet it's only marginal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if you look at my comment I wasn't just basing it on just last season I was saying since their respective moves. This season Morata has 6 and Lukaku has 4 so that must mean that Morata is better this season according to your strict goal tally logic.

Imagine Sarri inherenting Lukaku? He would have to smoke all the cigarettes in the world to calm himself down

We're like two months into the season though bro. Kane only has like 6 goals too.

I’d be interested to see Sarri it working with Lukaku. He’s a very good coach. I think he’d help him immensely.

I'm getting flashbacks of Hazard vs Salah...

No numbers aren't everything, but they're a key part of the whole picture.

Nobody can help Lukaku. Few years ago I said Lukaku's lack of technique makes it so he can never make it at a top club. Everton is his level. I've been proved right.

I think it's important to understand the Lukaku will be developed in his overall game under Mourinho and become a complete player. Morata is very limited under Sarri's wing.

I could agree with most of this. I do understand Lukaku's limitations, but he'd be an instant upgrade on Giroud and Morata for sure and I personally would definitely much rather have him in our team than either of them.

His minimum requirement is a basic level of technique, could he ever coach Rom into playing his football? Im not so sure. He inherited a similar "flawed but scores" striker with us and sent him packing.

Rashford would be the player he takes under his wing if he hypothetically took charge of United, he would be his Barkley esque project.

He's doing well for United though. OK, he's not a world class striker, but he scores enough goals for sure.
