Buying new players is a must for rangers as the current ones aren’t good enough to win the league. Whether they (the directors who are providing the shortfall) take the collective hit or whether they sell to fund who knows but there’s not really much value in the squad other than tav and Morelos.

All the youths team travelled with the first team squad as an experience as far as I know. Not sure they’ve even got a game as such .

I’d rather Kent wasn’t injured but he was a bit Teflon to Gerrard for me anyway so least now he won’t be playing almost every minute when not producing

Saying that, there’s media reports from few weeks ago saying Gerard setup a game when the Russians were here and a return youth game . Tho I’m sure yesterday’s news was they were going just to get used to the experience.

Wouldn’t know tbh tho by all accounts journos travel with both Celtic and Rangers in these euro trips which I always find a bit odd.

It seems to be out of the norm tho to take the youths with the first team squad according to reports

Lafferty is still injured and Sadiq isn't even in the European Squad, so there's an outside bet, he is actually there for the bench - though no one would expect him to get any game time.

A quality prospect though and I don't see age being a hindrance to Gerrard picking him.
