How so? Auba was apparently made available in Jan to the club and was signed because he was too good an opportunity to miss. No planning went into his signature and it was simply good fortune. Laca was initially dripped to make way for him.
Laca was struggling with a knee injury.
Arsenal sold Walcott, Alexis and Giroud - you don't think there was a plan to bring in someone?

Laca's injury was not serious and although I'm sure that Arsenal had players in mind to replace any that were sold and if Auba was part of this masterplan then why wasn't he signed in the Summer? I believe that we wanted to keep both Sanchez and Giroud and were trying from the summer until Jan to keep them. If they had both agreed to remain then Auba would never have been signed.

But it was an injury - rather than being "dropped".
Yes, Arsenal had players in mind - Auba being at the top of the list. And for a long while.
How' Mhki doing? It's looking more and more that you did great business getting rid of Sanchez but has Mhki done much in return?
For us he was very frustrating and while you could see talent he was never consistent.

Top quality. Hasn't put in a bad performance since he signed. 10/10

Agree that Mkhi has been a disappointment. Too similar to Ozil in my view and offers little defensively. Not sure he fits Emery's high press remit. I guess he was a freebie though as we'd have got nothing if we'd waited until the Summer for Sanchez to move on a free.
He's an odd one, everything I read and had seen in clips was just what we needed but which he never seemed to actually do for us. Didn't he thrive under Klopp's gegenpress at Dortmund?
Was pretty key in us winning the Europa Cup though.

Yeah he really hasn't done too much in England so far and to be honest it is only because Arsenal have progressed to much under Emery that his failure so far has largely gone unnoticed. Could say the same about Giroud at Chelsea actually.
Reckon Mkhi would be getting a load of grief from the stands if Wenger was still in charge and he was performing like he currently is.
Mkhi seems to save his best performances for Europe so perhaps his game is better suited to the slower paced game abroad?

Did same for us. He was quality in the Europa League for us, bagging quite a few Important goals including in the final.
He's not right for the PL though. He doesn't quite grasp the speed of it.

Yeah agree. Be interesting to see how his attitude pans out as he has been in and out of the team at both Utd and Arsenal. I'd like to think that he'd have the hump and threaten to leave as at least that would show he cared. Been a bit quiet which shows that either he is a really nice patient fella or that he doesn't give a monkeys and is happy picking up his big pay cheque.
Mkhi has been diabolical
Will be hard to shift him in the summer
Can’t see many clubs who can afford his wages actually wanting him

We can use him as leverage when we're negotiating Dortmund for Jadon Sancho

That would be the greatest transfer in our history if we pulled it off
Aubs wasnt a panic buy, he's a top player who became available so we jumped at it
