Lukaku? What. He should not come anywhere near the first 11!
Ashley young have to give him credit, atleast h3 can whip a ball in the ball unlike valencia. And, he has b3en playing well at RB

Whether he’s in the first 11 or not, it’s better for us that he come into form. Better to have as many players playing well in the squad as possible
Lindelof got man of the match on sky sports.. not sure if it's the official or sky sports man of match but he's gaining confidence and improving.. would be good if he had a leader next to him.
Very pleased with Lindelofs progress.
Lindelof n Smalling got pulled all over the place tonight at times. We weren't particularly good at the back today. Combination of DDG n wastefulness from juve.
Who was caught out for their goal? Was it Smalling or Lindelof?
The kept their shape quite well I thought, they definitely didn’t get bullied. Lindelof was caught out for the goal but he played well otherwise. I don’t even rate him that much but can admit he had a solid game. Playing in Europe suits him....

It was more the genius from Ronaldo rather than finding blame for it
As for being pulled all over the place, you have to use context. We chose to sit back and invite pressure from one of the best attacks in football. That is going to lead to far more magnification on the defence. Even with that Lindelof was very good and is in form. Has been for weeks now and while not yet perfect is showing signs of progress. It’s odd why people seem to write him off without accepting things like progress can happen
There are some signs of improvement but this lethargic start to games is a worry, and lets be honest, we really dont look that good defensively. There is much work to be done but at the moment we can;t complain about the spirit in the side to keep making comebacks - its just a shame we are putting ourselves in that position constantly to start with!
Tbf in the CL we’ve conceded just 2 goals in 4 games and tbh we may not concede again until the knockout rounds

We are NOT good defensively. We also have other issues, but this is the elephant in the room.

Where did I say we are good defensively?
De Gea had very little to do other than dive for off target shots or watch them.
Jose has gotten quite lucky in that his players and fans have backed him even when it looked certain he would get the sack.
Had this been Real or Chelsea, the players would've given up and ensured he was given the boot long before Nov.

That's a pretty awful MOTM award. He had 3 clearances go into the sky an doubt us under pressure, lost his runners two or three times and gave away a goal.
He has improved lately but yesterday wasn't a good day for him.

‘Should have’
😂 That’s not how football works though is it?
Are we including a fluke win as form?
I’ll raise you a ‘should have beaten Chelsea’ at the Bridge but ended up drawing.
But like Nobbb said (not that I often agree with him), that’s not how football works hehe Baz
We are looking very hard to beat

Are we?
We're still conceding bucket loads of chances, while that's the case we could easily come a cropper, especially in the next few games
Our defence need much improvement. Already conceded 18 goals by our 11th game.
Lets just enjoy the wins we get. I am sure Mourinho will make us tighten up sooner but for now we need to win and if are creating decent chances every game we got a chance.
I have to admit that I am surprised at how the players have responded in the last few weeks. I thought that they had stopped playing for him to be honest and that he would be gone around this time (possibly after the City game).
In terms of results, we couldn't really have hope for much more. We were always likely to lose at least one of the games against Juve. In terms of performance, we have been improved, with the exception of the home game against Juve, which I thought was embarrassing.
Our performances throughout a game are still patchy and we seem to struggle to find any rhythm early on. Jose really needs to address this.
I think that one of the main reasons that we have performed better is that Martial has been back in the team - 5 goals in his last 6 starts for us and certainly our best attacking threat in that period. Whilst pleased that Jose is picking him again, I am frustrated at the fact that it has taken so long for Jose to give him that run of games that he deserves. He should not have been sacrificed for the incoming Sanchez. I am also concerned about what will happen when Lukaku comes back. Whilst I was unsure about Sanchez as a no. 9, we have looked better going forwards with him up top and he is more likely to spot runs and get on the end of them then Lukaku. As we can't put a cross in to save our lives, Sanchez is probably the better option for us right now of the two. Although I would prefer Rashford up top personally.
The chances are that Jose will bring Lukaku back into the team, but I really hope he doesn't.
