The gun situation is ridiculous but if you think living in the states is a miserable thing then you are very much mistaken. My life is infinitely better since living the grim shores of the United kingdom.

Just does my head on this narrative that you take your life in your hands every time you leave the house in the states!!
Its a big feckin country as well, to put that in perspective London is closer to the atrocities in Syria than New Jersey is to this shooting in California today.

But then, I’ve never been to boondock city with leigons of trump supporting idiots with iq’s less than a particuarly stupid dog. This is absolutely spot on.
But to add, I have been to the deep south and spend time with people in Tennessee which is pretty bloody republican and whilst I don't personally people have their reasons for voting whichever way they do and that's up to them frankly. I can't stand this looking down on people for voting a certain way, disagree fine but certain people in this country especially have this sentiment that the way they vote is 'correct'.
It's not right what happens in America on an almost weekly basis, however if they can't learn by now that having guns readily available causes these situations then my sympathy for them gets less and less.

As Brits we seem to obsess over preaching to other countries whilst turning a blind eye to our own country's myriad issues.
People whine and moan about how racist trump voters are, yet Brexit was almost entirely driven by anti-immigration in the same way as Trump's election campaign.
I do not like trump, I do not like the republican party but we have far too many issues in the UK to be up on a sodding soap box about the US.
No one is "preaching" though. It's just an article about yet more senseless killing that their politician's willfully turn a blind eye to.
It's possible to concentrate on more than one issue.
