They can buy rights for a whole league for less than tinpot clubs like Burnley get for half a season.

That is correct.
Scottish football receives a pittance from tv, and the coverage we get is second rate (I'm being generous).
i hate sky
because i have bt
Thought it was mad that likes of Denmark get twice as much money from TV as we do

Yes we all know this.
It's cos the quality is schit, from the football, to the refs and the governing bodies.
Ho hum.

33m a season?
That is beyond taking the p.
We would be better doing it ourselves than selling it for that. Even I could get a better deal than that.
Its went a bit full circle in the sense that bt were the good guys supporting Scottish league while sky were only interested in champ league and big leagues.
Seems now bt have made it into the big league the smaller leagues aren’t as important to them
IE
I worry that's the case too.
I'm actually quite surprised Sky have came back with any offer after the SFA shafted them, in turn also shafting our game altogether.
Phannies.

We have to pay full price sky sports prescription prices when they are paying pennies to have Scottish football. It is like having to pay £90 entry to the Emirates to go and watch Dundee v St Mirren at Dens park.

To put in perspective I believe the Championship clubs are on £6.8million per season in the new Sky deal with an additional £100,000 for each home game shown live.
Sounds Ok until you read that West Brom got £95million for finishing bottom in the Premier League last year.
Bt were lauded as some kinda ethical / morally superior but the reality is , they are every bit as bad as sky .
The only thing they’ve got going for them over sky is they’ve not got Andy walker doing commentary in every Scottish game. Wtf is that allabout anyway? Yes he’s a biased Celtic man et al but his voice is mentally draining. Monotone. Negative viewpoints . Zero charm and wit. I’m not sure how he gets the gig even for Celtic games but then all? Bizarre
Our league and quality of football just isn't worth the cash.
Neither is the disgusting amount that the EPL are getting. It's beyond sick really.
How can sky give the championship more than Scottish football?
Far more people watch scottish football than the championship worldwide.
Sky literally exploit Scottish football to take our money and pour into English football.
Sky don't have the worldwide rights timmy so I don't think they care who watches the games in Australia and Canada.
if sky get Darrell Currie and a few of the pundits and give it the same build up they do with BT it could be ok
Sutton wont go though as he's starting to get used for a lot of English games now aswell as BT Score

Always maintained the view that football would be the eventual death of our game.
Walking in towards Killie past those wee houses and you through their living room window half a dozen all fully kitted out watching the game on the telly when the real thing is happening less than 100 yards away.
Soul destroying.
Hmm, Walker and his awful commentary or McCoist and his "Creggs" patter

Is this true? Genuinely asking
Can't wait to watch Hayley McQueen stutter with every line.
Kris Commons to pause every 5 seconds as he's forgot what to say.
And for Kris Boyd to start every sentence with "you know"
