Leave the squads alone and get rid of the foreign managers.....

posted on 13/11/18

Foreigners have never really been able to hack the prem anyway. It would only really affect team's squad players and would all but eliminate diving from the Prem.

posted on 13/11/18

Which clubs will be affected the most?
---------------------------------------------------
17 - Manchester City, Tottenham, Brighton, Huddersfield, Watford

16 - Chelsea, Liverpool, Fulham, West Ham

15 - Arsenal

14 - Manchester United, Newcastle

13 - Leicester

Agreed.

It was only done to encourage multiculturalism and diversity - We've all seen how that turned out.

If we remain in the sm and cu then this won’t be of any concern.

Brexit deal is far from done. Parliament won't back it and we'll end up having to choose between zero access to the single market or something close to staying in the EU.

That’s exactly what it looks like we will be doing, staying in the EU in all but name. Shambles.

Just a point, all countries have 'access' to the internal market but only member states (and third countries with EPAs FTAs etc) have preferential access.

At the end of the day we voted for foreigners to LEAVE. The fact that now only half have to go is a cop out from the government.

The league would be better off without parasites like David Silva and Kevin de Bryune.

I think we can all agree the league was a much better place with technicians like David Batty and Dennis Wise instead of these cheating cloggers.

I'm not sure I can honestly say who have been the worst divers, Brits or foreigners. It's a photo-finish, if you ask me.

We can't even agree what we voted for. And the football authorities can't agree which is better, freedom to import foreign players (PL) or more local products (FA). Sometimes I weep for poor Theresa.

Speak for yourself - but there was nothing on the ballot paper I signed that asked if I wanted foreigners to Leave.

I find it really annoying when people make up their own little agenda's and try and portray it as fact!

Even if we have to abide by EU freedom of movement laws after Brexit I don’t think it’s the last we’ll hear from the FA with pushing stricter non-homegrown quotas.

I’m conflicted as I fundamentally disagree with quotas but at the same time there’s a clear problem in English football when it comes to promoting English players.

Granted the talent pool hasn’t been there, and to extent still isn’t despite an emerging crop of talented young English players, but the attitudes of many clubs towards development of these players hasn’t been that good over the years.

Can't see May getting Brexit past Parliament.

Her own party is split on Europe as it is.

As an old timer, I can assure everybody in the forum that football was just as good in this country, before a single foreign player was playing. It certainly could be again. Nothing personally against foreign players, but football existed very well before the influx that we see now.

Well it really was, players like Best, Greaves, Law, Mackay, Jones, Edwards, Finney were every it as good as any foreign player playing today.

The last team to win the title with an all English squad was City in 1968.

Are you saying football has steadily regressed over the last 50 years?

That's what a lot of misinformed/thick people thought they were voting for.
