Raab has just resigned over a deal he helped negotiate. I'd laugh if it wasn't so worrying just how inept our government is.
He’s not happy with the deal he helped negotiate
Well he should resign and cite his incompetence as a reason.

Agreed it’s just a car crash from the people who are supposed to and paid extremely well to run the country for the benefit of us all.
How long before Borris walks to make his leadership bid 11 o’clock?
Has she remembered that the north of Ireland is still British and therefore her responsibility?
Labour would be so more preferable but my god Dianne Abbott.
Laurel and Hardy would have done a better job than this lot

It's incredible that this is probably one of the worst Tory governments ever, making a complete mess of everything, and labour are still behind them in the polls.
Corbyn seems a decent guy but he's really not leader material if he can't beat this government.

I think they are trying to bring back david miliband into politics. Would certainly be a better choice than Corbyn
To be fair Raab, (like Davis before him) was simply a figurehead.
Neither had the competence to negotiate withdrawal as are largely illiterate on trade policy. The bulk of negotiations have been overseen by Olly Robbin’s team.

Politically he has too much bagage so the media would have him untenable with exposes within weeks big him being PM. If he had sense he would hand over reigns pre GE, to an outsider who mirrors much of his left tendancies but is fresher.

Corbyn and the Labour leadership support Brexit. So no.
Brexit is like the England manager's job, it's a poisoned chalice. People forget that any deal has to be agreed with the EU so we were never going to get a deal that pleases everyone in the UK.

The damage was done two years ago, what’s happening now has been inevitable since then. it was always going to boil down to what happens over the next month.

I wonder how the 27 EU countries will play this. If they reject the vote they will trigger a no deal and perhaps shoot themselves in the foot over the loss of income.
If they accept the deal that the majority of the British public hate, they might trigger a "people's vote" which might lead to the collapse of Brexit.
Dictatorships don't have these problems.

Support Brexit maybe but he’s said he wouldn’t support the wrong deal
The country has voted to jump on that plane for a skydive and land somewhere outside of the EU
The past two years we've been up on that plane in the air getting ready to jump off.
What the country has equipped itself with is a flimsy parachute with holes in it
The choices now are:
Do we jump off and use that parachute and hope for the best when we land?
Do we decide to jump off without the parachute and see what happens?
Or do we decide to back away from the jump, go and sit back down on the plane and land back where we all started in the EU?

The commission has been negotiating in accordance with the wishes of the EU27, so imagine the bulk of any deal would be approved by the parliament and then council.
The big challenge for the UKG would arise (assuming plan remains to leave the CU/SM) when negotiating a FTA with the EU. As many member states will want to protect their own interests.
France, Netherlands, Belgium for example all stipulated there had to be carve outs in many service sectors during Ceta negotiations.
