The turnout of young, better educated people in the referendum was pretty low. Many of those who didn't vote would do so in a second referendum and would probably vote remain.
Boris didn't really want to leave, he wanted to be PM and saw a leave vote as the way to get that. Having to lie about more money for the NHS etc didn't bother him a jot. The whole thing is a catastrophe and anyone who really thought that EU countries would make it easy to leave was naïve beyond words. Countries such as France will gleefully hoover up jobs that have to leave London to remain in the EU. Clearly the EU needs reform but leaving was only ever going to be a car crash and our children will pay the price sadly until the UK re-joins on much less favourable terms.

Pretty much agree with what you said there. While some will point out immigration/racism for the leave vote, I think for many is was just a way of being heard - conscious or subconscious.
Many people are facked off and this vote was a way to 'get something back', however misplaced their intentions were.

Funny thing is, if we leave immigration will have to increasingly come more from non white countries, which will pîśs the gammons off even more. Because they wouldn’t have really noticed all the foreign white Europeans coming in before (until they heard an acccent)
This country relies a lot on immigration (as do many others). That will not chance for the foreseeable future. Whatever happens with Brexit, immigrantion will not noticeably come down. It’ll just come from a different source. So voting out just on immigration was fecking stupid

Funny thing is, if we leave immigration will have to increasingly come more from non white countries, which will pîśs the gammons off even more. Because they wouldn’t have really noticed all the foreign white Europeans coming in before (until they heard an acccent)
This country relies a lot on immigration (as do many others). That will not chance for the foreseeable future. Whatever happens with Brexit, immigrantion will not noticeably come down. It’ll just come from a different source. So voting out just on immigration was fecking stupid
