PLus winning our next two games should make some inroads on Spurs and Arsenal

Arsenal’s next two games

Bmouth away
Spurs home

Spurs next two games

Chelsea home
Arsenal away

So 6 points is a must have after the Palace and Saints games

Lukaku is due a good scoring run - he’s done it his whole career

It could work out a good thing for us that he’s had a quiet start to the season as we go into the winter period and he may have his scoring streak start in the next couple of weeks and see us through the winter and take some of the pressure off the other players
----------------

Got to agree with you here Robb. It will be great if Lukaku can have a scoring run and win us some points to make up for all the ones that he has already lost us.

To be fair this Arsenal side are good

As for doing well to make top 6? Bit of an overreaction. We won’t win the league (obviously) but there are signs over the last few weeks that things are getting better. The loss to City has put peoples minds back in crisis mode again but everyone will lose there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

i dont think thats right tbh... nobody expected anything from the city game, but the manner of the loss is depressing.

Most of us weren't fooled by a couple of smash and grab wins... as welcome and enjoyable as they were... nothings changed really.

We still start games on the back foot, the selection of a half fit Fellaini was as predictable as it was stupid (tbf he wasn't our worst player but with Matic being in wretched form it left us immobile and short of energy)... and lets be honest Lukaku will be back in the side and we'll be back to our static predictable crap soon enough.

The recent wins were nothing more than papering over cracks... Juve should have buried us in truth, Bournemouth and newcastle were fortunate too

Apart from Juventus what was the other smash and grab win?

If you mean Bmouth we fully deserved that win

Oh come on Robb, we should have been dead and buried at half time. Fortunately they didn't take their chances and we were better in the second half, but overall the game was very even. To say that we fully deserved to win the game is a stretch, as we rode our luck. Even Jose commented on how lucky were were/he was. The first half performance (especially 30 minutes) was terrible.

Other than Palace, the rest is a piece of chocolate cake, a gentle stroll in the park and a maximum points

Though only if Lukaku is on sub bench

Bournemouth were good for the first 25 mins but we dominated the game after that

People seem to think of a good side like Bmouth start the game well then winning there isn’t something to celebrate and be proud of

We started poorly against a good team. They could have scored a couple but they didn’t and we turned the game around and fully deserved the victory

I disagree. It was an even match. Even on possession, shots and they had a twice as many corners. It was a close game. We didn't fully deserve to win the game and were lucky to even be still in it after the first half an hour.

Not many sides will go to Bmouth and win with them playing as well as they are this season. I actually thought it was very good how we stopped the pressure and turned the game around. Showed a maturity to our side

We did well to turn the game around, but we were very fortunate to not be totally out of it.

Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham will all go to Bournemouth and win. Decent side, but they aint anywhere near the top teams. Newcastle beat them last weekend. They will fade as the season moves on.

Dave, I asked you not to derail my thread and you ignored it. It is that simple.

A sycophant would be someone so obsessed with another person that they would follow his critics around and attack them. All I have done is delete irrelevant posts of yours after asking you to give it a rest. You, on the other hand, have done exactly what I have described above. You lack any form of self-awareness - which is coincidentally a trait I have leveled at Robb on many occasions.

Dave, most posters on my article have attacked you. No-one (except you) has attacked me for deleting someone who was doing his best to derail the thread having been asked not to. I am quite sure that the other posters on the thread are of the opinion that it is you that has made a fool of yourself. As I said, a complete lack of self-awareness.

If you want to have a discussion with VC about his behavior then write a thread old boy.

I just want Robb to produce another article showing how, on paper, we can potentially clean up.

It's done. Jose is not going to turn this funeral march into a Christmas party. He should be sacked as there's no potential for a turnaround. But he'll stay till CL is mathematically impossible.

Who do we want next though? That's the tricky question

It's torture. I think the players are more to blame than Jisr but when the performances and results are this bad, it's inevitable that the manager has to go. And they aren't reacting to Robb's reverse psychology, they're quite consistent in their awfulness

If Robb did this every 5 games United would get relegated.
