Bancroft could have just simply said no. He knew it was cheating..
Anyway back to this game. Its got nail drawn all over it.

Liverpool yeah more likely to be a draw. Though if India manage to get all aus wickets today then India can force a win. By end of day 3 it will be much clearer if this is a draw or not.

Get in there Jaddu. He is the key to this game. Aussies 3 down.

Why didn’t Kohli enforce the follow on for god sake

Still looking good to win this game. What a spell from Bumrah, probably one of the best ever by an Indian seamer down under.

Kav I think we took the right decision. Need to tire aus bowlers mentally and physically here. Given there is 2 day break here they will be so fatigued in SCG. I think India are winning this match regardless. Glad to see mayank play. Looks a good prospect. Him shaw and Gill are India’s future now at the top of the order

I swear captains are too defensive these days. Would any captains of the 80’s or 90’s with a 292 run lead not have enforced the follow on with your team only having bowled 67 overs (25 by a spinner) and with Bumrah on absolute fire.

That game at the Eden in 2001 probably changed the whole dynamic of follow ons but that was a once in a generation game and is unlikely to ever happen again. Also huge credit to Bumrah who now has 5 wicket hauls in England, SA and Oz all in his first year of test cricket. Seems like we have finally found one world class seamer.

Yeah thats true Viru but we have just allowed them to run through our top order. Agarwal looks very good tbh. I’ve always maintained we have some of the most talented batsmen in the world yet they are not being utilised correctly. Get Shaw, Gill and these other young players in the side regularly ahead of plodders like Vijay and see the results.

Also Viru, Gill scored 148 of like 150 odd balls in Ranji for Punjab only a few days ago. We needed like 338 off 57 overs and we almost did it. His strokeplay was unbeliavable. Boy belongs in this India side he’s that bloody good.

Yeah Kav I am actually suprised we threw Vihari as an opener. He was doing well at no.6 but India seem to think differently. I’m sure in long term this is our opening trio. Maybe KL can come back as well if he fixes his technique so good prospects there.

India on track for another win here, mightily impressive.
Bit of a second innings collapse but they have enough runs already. Getting that lead up to 400 with remaining wickets will seal the deal.

They get bowled after adding 30-35 runs in this series!

The only thing I haven’t considered is the Forecast for rain. There is rain forecast for the next 2 days and this might mess India’s chances. Hope that’s not the case though.

I hope the rain doesn't ruin the game.. If a team is losing this badly like Australia they deserve to lose.

Interesting how since the ball tampering saga that Starc has been nullified. Getting no swing at all with new or old ball.

Hopefully,Starc discovers his mojo back as he is great to watch when he is in full flow & rhythm.

There was recent article that was talking about that. Since that ball tampering saga, Australia bowlers have struggled to get reverse swing. In last ashes they were the only team that were getting reverse swing when England couldn’t do the same.

And smith said this was the only time they tampered with the ball. Starc and Hazelwood have been pretty average bowlers since SA and they have had plenty of rest since March

Good win for India. Now one more test and India can win their first test series in Aus.

Very impressed with India’s bowling. Always knew they would do well in England and SA as they have good swing bowlers, but boy they have outclassed aus bowlers in their own conditions. Pace has been a key reason they have had good success across all conditions they have played in.

Another thing if India can keep Bumrah, Shami and Ishant fit for next away cycle think India will win many more matches. If Bumrah is this lethal on his first away tours how good will he be once he gets more experienced. Exceptional talent this boy.

Well done India!

Good solid start by India...with good RR too.

They should aim min 500 tomorrow by Tea time and give Aus to play 30 odd overs...Track will have some bite from 4th day onward and having Kuldeep Yadav in side would make things interesting.

Pujara has been the difference this series. What a turnaround from him. He should be made vice captain now.

I think with this series finishing the fab4 of this generation in my eyes have changed. Kohli, Pujara,Smith and Williamson are the top 4 batsman in the world cricket.
