No problem with a lap of honour tbh. It’s not inflammatory or against the rules ( yet anyway)
I think people are getting goading and celebrating mixed up on here.

Look like the brethren in Police Scotland have taken their blame shifting too far eh?

This is another example of why I’m a Celtic fan.
“It will stick in my mind forever that after the game the Celtic players were extremely good sportsmen and, together with their supporters, they gave us a standing ovation when we were receiving the cup”
As said by the Feyenord goalkeeper after the 1970 European Cuo Final.
Hail hail 🍀🍀
As Rodgers said, the players have went round the fans showing their appreciation since he arrived. They did it under Deila as well. It wasn’t anything new. The police are just trying to divert the blame elsewhere for the reaction.

Most of what he said is true, obviously Brown and Griffiths did a bit of celebrating in front of them though and waving a scarf but if that's really all it takes to set knuckle draggers off into a stampede then the game is flooked.

Sorry may have missed most of the chat.
Genuine question - what was the issue at the last OF (sic) game, in terms of the crush, how was it more dangerous for the Celtic fans when there was a lot less away fans to manage?
if players can take abuse for 90 minutes, fans can take it for 30 seconds after the game
man up move on
Segregation presumably?
Basically rangers/daves/anyonebutceltics fault going by lawells comments

Do you mean the crush under the tunnel at the back of the stadium?
Basically there was 7 thousand more fans trying to get through than normal on OF day. The other way round is shut off to allow Rangers fans safe passage from London Road/Dalmarnock.
There was no co-ordination from the Police at the tunnel who took the ingenious idea to wade in with horses and create mass panic.
After that the gates were closed meaning no one could move an inch.
Police Scotland brethren have made a Noel Hunt of this. Their policing policy meant that Rangers fans were kept in the ground instead of getting them out first.
Then the knuckledraggers in the Rangers support tried to get on the pitch and jumped over their own disabled fans at the front. Those rseholes, and no one else are responsible for their behaviour. And if we’re Celtic fans doing tha, I would say the same.

A lot more people had to use the one area to get to their seats than is usual. I guess it wasn`t planned/built for that amount of people, at least not all at one time.

Also the fact they were telling fans the gates were shut and sending them back into fans heading in the same direction when they were still open.
Celtic aren't blameless in the whole thing, they should have realised that would be very tough to organise on an OF game.
It's always mobbed on CL nights but you are allowed to access through the other side as well which isn't the case on an OF game.

How long would it take for 800 away fans, just wanting to get out of there after a defeat to leave, less than a minute ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was probably a few wanting to leave a bit early as well.
Shows how the police don’t do their homework if they didn’t know the players all applaud the fans after a game as well.
