Well, I suppose we set ourselves up for that.

Seems like mentally we weren't at it today and maybe a few of our younger players didn't rise to the occasion.

I think we've struggled since the Chelsea game rhythm is so important to our attacking game I'm just hoping Mount and Waggy can get some game pace back. Bogle does seem to be struggling a bit mentally too. Davies is a blow, wanted to see how Tomori could look out there on the right.

Might have to dust off my request for a Robbie Van Der Laan in the January window though. Still a mad league and I back us to come good again.

Lack of penetration and quality in the final third. Got drawn into Stokes gameplan, Bogle is going to be a very good player but will cost us goals here and there and what has happened to Carsons arms? Are they made of jelly?

I thought Mount looked very good tonight but generally the quality of passing was poor. I suppose it’s not easy to play the beautiful game with the wind and rain blowing in your face. We were still unlucky though, didn’t get the run of the ball. Both goals conceded were avoidable.

The Germans wanted me to do another two weeks, but I only agreed to do one more (this one). Trouble is the Italians know nobody is coming back next week and the feckers have got muggins here trying to do two weeks worth in five days.

As long as you don't waken up to a horses head, jobs a good un.

The best bit about being here though is the drive to work in the morning. Just like a real life dodgem-car track. They are bloody awful drivers, they just take the shortest route (and are constantly on their 'phones)
