It's always interesting to see who is in the starting line-up for a game but for this one it will be just as interesting to see who is on the bench for us.
If MGW starts with Moutinho we have to have another central midfielder on the bench in case of injury. Will that be Saiss or Dendoncker?
If he starts Saiss in midfield with MGW on the bench, presumably Bennett will get his place back and Dendoncker will be on the bench as cover for the back three?

FA Cup third round draw this evening. Wolves are ball number 44.

I certainly hope it will be MGW that replaces Neves. He deserves a chance based on his sub appearances and can add a bit of vitality and mobility to the midfield. Think it would be a mistake to play Saiss there as he is much more defensive and that would invite Chelsea on to us. We have done well against the better teams this season by having a go at them and it would be a shame if our poor run of results lead us to being more negative. As for Dendoncker, who knows. Cant help but get the impression all hasn't been good between him and the manager as surely he should at the very least have had some sub appearances by now.

And the time has surely come to reinstate Jota. Its not as though anyone else has done much to claim that position.

Yup Jota and Costa to start with Jimenez for me. But there needs to be a big improvement from Costa who has been awful in the last few games. Cav the super sub to come on in the second half to replace either Jota or Costa, whichever is the worst. Not bothered if Traore plays or not as I think he actually contributes virtually nothing.

Costa has been poor the last two games but was excellent at Arsenal. He has tended to play better against the good teams rather than those when he is more closely marked.

Traore is very hit and miss but has had some good cameo performances as a sub. We haven't seen the best of him yet for sure and we have to hope that the coaching at Wolves improves him. His pace and strength could make him virtually unplayable if they can get him performing

"With games coming thick and fast thanks to the Champions League" - don't think we're in this competition!

Think it'll be a tight game, both teams struggle to score goals

I think it’ll be a draw. Wolves have done well against the top clubs. Draws against City, United and Arsenal.

We need a striker

Sadly not in the CL OP, so might want to change that.

Will be a tough game where I reckon you could All click and score a few. But we are capable too. Hard to judge

Chelsea have scored 30. Wolves 16. I think we all know who is struggling to score goals!

No problem Gemlad, it’s tuff to make these threads but youve learned from the best, so a little mistake here and there is perfectly acceptable...for now !

Haha, fair point but we're very wasteful in the final 3rd and from watching Wolves a few times this season they're quite similar in terms of lacking the final ball/finish.

Ruben Neves might be a big miss for you guys in midfield

Yes these two club are very similar I agree...apart from our accent

Got a good mate who’s a massive Chelsea fan and was back in the day (pre Roman) covered in CFC tattoo’s, I’d be ecstatic if we could emulate some of their recent success one day

Your dip in form in my competition seems to have coincided with our dip too, Gem. Let's hope you recover in this round and Wolves do too.

nuno refused to buy goalscorers when bonatini had completely dried up and jota was going the same way, instead buying a midfielder he never plays and a winger no better than we already had.

now it's payback time.

Happy with us going 3-4-3 in this one as that has worked against the better teams very well and think MGW deserves the nod after some promising sub appearances lately alongside Moutinho.

Saiss did little wrong so assume he won't be dropped here but not sure i would have put him back there in the first place, as others have said it seemed like a change for changes sake.

Wouldn't pick Costa in any world after Fridays efforts, truly hopeless but it is time for Jota to come back in and personally would start Cavaleiro given he comfortably carries the most threat but wouldn't be that upset if Traore gets nother start as he did at least try and get involved Friday despite making bad decisions often and having a first touch that knocks the ball further than one of his passes. He should at least find room to run at Chelsea on counters in this one.

Have you ever heard of Ralph Hasenhuttl ?
Well the Southampton fans are apparently going to familiar with him very soon.
