Same old spurs Don. we all knew it would happen
Phenom , just annoys me so much mate the way this team dangle a great result in front of us, but barely deliver consistently. It’s why they never win anything and it’s why we get so frustrated with them. A draw I would of taken, but to get smashed like that in a derby is why this club will never amount to anything.

Don, long since forgotten that game, it is only three points at the end of the day. Spurs will get those three points back in the return match no problem.
what ever you say Sandy it still shows that the quality and depth of our squad is not good enough, nevermind injuries

Well it doesn`t show that at all. Spurs have coped very well. If the squad was poor they would not be goal difference away from the top four, and still in all three cup competitions.
There is so much nonsense talked about Spurs weak squad, it simply isn`t. Notice there was no talk about it after the Chelsea win, or the Inter win. Always after a defeat the squad nonsense comes up.
It was just a poor performance, absolutely nothing to do with squad depth.

Completely agree Sandy. One defeat against a solid Arsenal side in a week where we beat Chelsea and Inter, doesn't make the squad weak.
Should be a interesting game... No idea what our response will be to the NLD (would help if Poch picked the right team, Foyth ????? WTF (talented kid, but NO business playing in that game) Hopefully the love fest with Sissoko is now over (he's still a joke, 4 good games in 3 years doesn't change a thing). Can we go back to Winks & Dier In CM please !!! Hopefully Rose is fit and can get a run in the team, even if he's playing for a move.. i really don't care... Trips, Aurier & Davies are just painful
As for Saints, hopefully they are as bad as they look & don't all of a sudden realize they have to raise their game ahead of the appointment of a new manager
This has 'Trap Game" written all over it after a tough week & emotional & physically draining NLD
Poch owes us one after that rubbish at the weekend.
If we don’t wallop this shower of shiet then I’m giving up
Spurs always do this don't they. Get a really good result (i.e. Chelsea), everyone sits up and takes notice, and then we follow it up with a pathetic performance.
Did the same a few years back when we beat Chelsea 5-3 and then followed it up with a 2-1 defeat to fecking Palace

at the start of the season you said we would win it , now your talking there or thereabout a lot of difference, depends if we strengthen or not
There was a interview after the nld with poch talking about how the team was fatigued, anyway he basically said we have to battle through until January. So I took that as there will be some incomings 🤔
United are a poor outfit this season and Arsenal are better than they've been for a while and on an unbeaten run. Don't be surprised if they take 3 points from United.
What we need to do in this game is not only beat Southampton but try and make up the goal difference. I want to see us back to our best of punishing these weaker teams, not just scraping through.
Well I still think this Spurs side are mentally weak when the going gets tough. Let’s be honest, would anyone here trust Spurs to win if we got to a cup semi final again? Or dare I say it, even a final ? Not a chance even the optimistic of supporters i.e Sandy would be confident. This goes to show this Spurs side are still not mentally capable to win trophies and consistently perform. A great win against Chelsea, then get absolutely battered by Arsenal. Spurs all over.
Depends who we play Don. I'd expect us to beat most teams in this league. If we're playing one of the top 6 then my heart will always say we can win but my head will always say we're not going to rise to the occasion. Eventually this team will win one if we keep reaching the semis, just like we eventually beat Chelsea at their place.
Me personally Spurtle, I have no confidence Spurs will ever rise to the occasion when it truly matters. Have watched us mess up in the games that matter far to many times. This Spurs side will get the odd brilliant result, but just don’t have what it takes to be successful in my opinion.

Hope so !!!!! TBH Id have thought we would have been suffering more with fatigue after the Summer but we did s0d all about it. I'm not holding out any hope for signings in Jan. I don't see how the situation will be any different. All we have done since the summer is face spiraling costs on the stadium, pi55ed money up a wall on Wembley, increased our cost base on wages/contracts, generated no new revs and cant ever sell anyone because Levy's prices are a joke. Combine that with the fact Jan prices are crazy as you have to be desperate. We either need some proper investment or a financing deal to leverage future revs from the new stadium. With this Brexit mess I'm not sure how easy that's gonna be
Spurs ain’t signing anyone in Jan mate. To little to late for me. Should of done good business in the summer and we wouldn’t of had this problem of fatigue and problems with injuries, as we would have the required in depth quality to cope.
