That's because most fans are fickle idiots who base their views on what has happened in the past 5 mins. Glad those divs don't run the club..
It's not as simple as that - Ozil is on about £350k a week, an amount we can't really afford to give to players - and he is not justifying that salary at all. In really tough games he is often nowhere to be found (even when he does play!) and he has a bad habit of sulking when asked to put in a shift. Frankly we seem to be playing better without him at the moment. This is not to deny that he has a wand of a left foot, it's just that overall it is not working.
Ramsey is a different case, he's been bang average for most of the season but what has become clear is that he is better when Ozil is NOT playing and as Sunday showed is in fact ideally suited for Ozil's position. Ramsey is also about to leave for nothing.
So, given all that, it is perfectly reasonable to speculate whether we would in fact be better off if Ozil was sold and Ramsey stayed - rather than Ozil continue to fail to perform at the highest level and Ramsey walk off for nothing...

Ahh yes but just a few weeks ago the majority view
would have been that Ozil was better than Ramsey who was being greedy and should leave.
The point (I think) the OP is making is that in the space of a 45 min cameo against Spurs all of sudden Ramsey is the bees knees again and Ozil should go.
It's the fickle nature of the modern fan which I believe the OP is referring to.

Yes that's it. You get me.
Don't tar everyone with the same brush. I wanted Ozil to go and Ramsey to stay several months ago, if not longer.

Yes, well it might be that they both need to leave
In truth Ramsey has probably as good as signed elsewhere and unless Ozil has a complete change of attitude we need to offload him. His salary destabilises the players because they can see he is not earning it...
Ramsey ain’t worth the money and Ozil ain’t earning it. Both should go
And so should Mkhi. Get rid of all 3, bring in a top CM and top class winger and we are in much better shape
Mkhitaryan has so far flattered to deceive, the odd great performance followed by lots of not much...

Well-said. It's simple commonsense really. Given a choice of one or the other, I would keep Ramsey and get rid of Ozil in a heartbeat.
Ramsey is one of the most overrated professional footballers of all time
