Exactly

The people voted, and even if the referendum was founded on falsehoods, and implementing the result represents a road to ruin, democracy dictates the public are prohibited from changing their minds.

The quest for total self governance is not a falsehood.

People voted for an independent Britain, free from EU regultions and to change the process of border control to a more manageable system that doesn’t prejudice non-Europeans.

Go and asked 100 people in your local Tesco, and I doubt more than a handful would have the first clue about anything you just wrote.😆

They might have naively voted for that, but that's not what they will be getting with Brexit.

Doubt they'd care about the prejudice against non Europeans either. Ask anyone who wants to lower immigration which group they'd want to reduce first, and you can guarantee it'll be Asians/Muslims.

Non EU net migration 280,000 Vs EU 80,000. We've always had control of non EU migration numbers but the government have little interest in controlling it. Irrespective of brexit.

And yet after being told that that the 'independent Britain, free from EU regulations' they voted for is NOT achievable as they are so closely intertwined now that it is impossible to separate most of them without damaging one or the other (or both) legal systems.

This WILL NOT be allowed to happen by any of the affected parties so what we will get is precisely what we have now but without any say of how things move forward and no veto. In essence, no control at all.

But that's what the public voted for isn't it so we're all good.

I know, I know, I can't possibly prove this is what will happen, it's just more FUD, just like the banks moving out of London and the car manufacturers moving abroad was.

at the end of the day we voted for foreigners to LEAVE we cannot go back on that decision just because you might lose some berry pickers or your feeling to snowflake like to actually tell them that they have to LEAVE man up and get on with it tell them to leave and thats that

Assuming we do Brexit, wait to folk find out how competitive our European counterparts will be in regard to protecting their own interests.

Putting the UK in direct competition with the largest free trade area in the planet is not the most open-minded policy

How to get Brexit: Basic message that stupid people can get behind.

How to implement Brexit: Lots of complicated things which were not considered when actually voting for Brexit. Need a 2nd vote because this was not what people knew when they were voting for Brexit.

2nd Referendum: Back to same basic message to stupid people to get Brexit again.

Repeat.

Exactly. I feel this whole Brexit show has just been a distraction (from what? I’m not sure but there’s always something else that could have been focused on instead.)

Plus it’s the old divide and conquer tactic that the general public fall for time and again.

just have a brexit vote every 4 years like the US presidency, you know it makes sense, that way the people who voted out will be happy their vote counted, then all the Europeans who love us so much now will have the chance to have us back in 4 years when we vote again, viva la democracy!
