Here is a translation of the headline story in the Portugese press today

Wolverhampton are in the final stages of negotiations to hire striker Shoya Nakajima from Portimonense. BOLA knows that the transfer is around € 20 million and should be implemented at any time.

A recent target of Southampton and Leicester, also the Premier League, the Japanese international has been one of the highlights of Portuguese football since last season, when he arrived at the emblem of Portimão coming from FC Tokyo.

"The harassment has been enormous, so it will be difficult to secure it, but we only release it for an irrefutable proposal," said Robson Ponte, vice president of SAD Portimonense, at the end of October.

Nakajima, 24, has a contract valid until 2020 and a termination clause of € 40 million. In Wolves, today directed by the Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo, it seems that he will join a cast full of well-known names, among them Rui Patrício, Rúben Neves, João Moutinho, Hélder Costa, Raúl Jiménez and Diogo Jota

What we need is lot's more performances like yesterday's.
If Nuno sticks with his new system and brings in this Japanese striker to partner Jimenez it will pretty much make Costa Bonatini and Traore redundant and confine Jota and Cavaleiro as striking subs.

I just think we need to increase the number of genuine Premier League quality players we have. The reason Nuno has kept largely to the same players is that he doesn't think some of the other players in the squad are as good. We need to get to the point of having 20 really good players and then we can have confidence that if a player loses form, gets suspended, gets injured then we can carry on playing at a high standard. If that means some of the players you mention getting less games then so be it.

I think with the players we have now, Costa will always be a contender for a start and Traore and Cavaleiro will always be good options as impact subs. But if we bring in better players they may well all fall out of the picture. That's the only way we will progress from being a team that might finish mid table to a team that might get into europe

Seems like Nakajima has been playing as a left sided winger and if the rumours are true about us looking at Origi from Liverpool, he too is a left sided winger and started for Liverpool last night, but came off after 66 mins.

I believe we will start to get better players of Premier League standard and gradually fade out those who got us to the top flight. Bonatini, the most likely to go first.

I also don't expect to see any of our players out on loan right now, featuring for us in the future. Any gems like Gibbs-White will surely have been identified by our coaching staff and are playing regularly for the U21's.

With regard to this Japanese player from Portimonense, Nuno was asked about him today and said he was not a player he knows. So that wont happen then. Number one of many false rumours
