Will you straight* out for replacements in January?
Ayling will be back in this month, for Berardi and Cooper it will be the end of January or the beginning of February. Dallas and Pearce also will be back in the following weeks. Bamford and Brown are available now so when a new player comes he doesn't have the same advantage as the players who are present. He has to adapt to the team and the style of work and the city and the club. And for the second part of the season and when you buy a player it has an impact on the finance of the club because the big players are not available or you can't buy them easily. Apart from the fact where you have the situation where the team needs someone and that the possibility of having a player is clear, we won't buy anyone. I prefer instead if buying to bet on improving the quality of the work.

On trusting players
When you take the work and style of play, the only difference regards the style of play is when you buy a great player. The great player can go into any team without any difficulty but this kind of players are not very common and they are very expensive and the clubs don't want to sell this kind of player. Many times when you buy a player is to hide something it shows that you are doing something in the transfer window, when you have an injury you buy a player but actually the goal is to buy a player who can improve the level of the team.
On Lewie Coyle - will he come back?
We will make the analysis according to what Victor Orta proposes. But as a matter of a fact the only player we have lost for the whole season is Jamal Blackman and the players that we have, I am very happy with the group I have and the players that Victor Orta brought to the club and the contribution of the players from the Academy is very important. So I don't see the need to bring in any other player now, if it's a player that is better than the one we have then I would agree but i know how expensive one would be better than we have.
On a goalkeeper coming in?
Actually in football what is possibly does not always become reality and before giving any information I prefer to be sure about what I am saying and today I can't tell you definitely that we will bring in a goalkeeper, even when we take into account that we lost a keeper as good as Blackman.
On the December run...
I am not worries about it because in professional football if you play twice a week it's normal and when you play in Christmas time that is a tradition of English football. And I always think that we keep traditions because they have value, when you keep something that you could change, it means that it has historical roots. And the fact that you keep the traditions, that has a lot of value when a tradition stays..
Slightly off topic but given that Bielsa’s teams have been prone to post Christmas drop in results due to burn out then perhaps all these injuries will prove beneficial. In January we’ll have players coming back from injury fresh
How will you deal with the loss of Cooper?
With the same XI players we can play with a line of four or a line of three, the goal is to be able to change the structure without changing the players, big teams can change the structures and keep the same players. And if you take 50 pictures of any game you will see that the structure changes.
What is the latest with Shaughnessy?
There is a struggle inside the team to be a part of the group. And when you get a position inside the team it is not a final one. You can be among the 18 and 19 players and in some moments you can be out of this and out of the list. I think Shaughnessy has skills, he has been a little bit sanctioned by the injuries but he had.
On how Halme has done..
I think he did balanced games. He is a duty player he does what the teams need of him. He's not the kind of player who will be individual during a game. He took his responsibilities when he has to play instead of Cooper the other day in a difficult game and he gave a quick response.
That's a wrap from Bielsa
With the main line being that he will continue to work with what he has hot despite the injuries and is very happy to do so.

this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It's what Bielsa does. Said today that quite often clubs sign players to be seen to be doing something in the window, or to try and mask problems. #lufc

With Cooper missing this weekend, Bielsa says he won't choose the captain himself. "The captain represents his team-mates and the natural thing to do is that the captain is chosen by his team-mates." #lufc
Bielsa said during that press conference that Bamford and Brown are now available. Interesting to see if one or both make the bench on Saturday.
The glass is definitely half full this season. Excellent thread by the way

its a myth.
theres plenty of articles debunking this theory
Not even certain that we will get a new goalkeeper
This not recruiting where we are clearly weak thing is going to cost us. We have two fit senior defenders and we often play five at the back!
if this was anybody else saying that about transfers some folk would accuse him of being Orta's / AR's puppet.
No way would MB be anybodies puppet. I Bielsa we trust
Interesting that Shackleton is looking like starting at Right Back.
My thought is that the line up will be BPF, Shackleton, Pontus, Phillips, Halme, Douglas, Kilch, Alioski, Forshaw, Pablo, Roofe.
Bench likely to be interesting, could be quite attacking with lots of options but I wonder whether he might be a bit cautious and pick Shaugnessy just in case.
By attacking I mean seven from Huffer, Harrison, Clarke, Brown, Roberts, Baker, Saiz and Bamford. Personally I don't think either Brown or Bamford looked match fit for the development squad the other day but if the are I can see Harrison and Baker being dropped in order to improve defensive options.
In other words if they find a better player at a reasonable price they will bring him in, if not they will use the younger players and they feel confident doing so.
In other words there will be no panic recruiting.
Sounds good to me.
He has played there already this season, it's not exactly a surprise

Yep I read it that way too ......
One of the things I like best about Biesla is how he unites the club. He never suggests the board don't back him, he discusses and credits his squad, he values the academy, he appreciates the fans.
Monk in my view did a good job of reuniting the first team and the club management.
Bielsa has united the lot. Radz deserves credit too and the removal of Cellino was very important. But for me its Biesla who is the glue that holds it all together.
This is why I continue to laugh at the little red side over the Pennines who continue to back their manager and blame their board. Mourinho for all his brilliance as a coach is the opposite of Bielsa. He blames everyone but himself.
Pragmatic as always, in Bielsa we trust
Need a centre half and now a goalkeeper
Be utter madness not to sign someone

Have you identified those players that:
1) are better than what we have,
2) are reasonably priced,
3) are fit enough to fit into the way MB has us playing,
4) will be a good fit into the existing squad?
I am confident that Victor and his scouts are looking but it isn't a simple thing.
