Mustafi maybe (I certainly hope so) but I think he'll see enough potential in Holding.
I think Holding had been doing well this season. Real shame to get an injury like that.

And a from a bad foul from Rashford too.
Very unfortunate for Holding, especially as he's clearly improved a lot this year. Some credit to Unai Emery no doubt.
A big concern for Arsenal as well, as we're going into the busy Christmas and New Year period with Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis as the only two fully fit senior centre backs at the club. Laurent Koscielny could be back soon of course, but he's been out for about eight montsh now, following surgery on his Achilles, so it could be a while before he's fully up to speed and competitiveness.
Gutted for Holding.
Not even halfway through his breakout season and he blows an ACL. His confidence was so high, he was doing crossovers out on the wing.
I hope they sacked every single one of the clowns we had on our medical team before Emery came in.
Kos has been back for a couple of months. Don't think he will take too long to regain match fitness.
Elneny has also played at centre back with some success, especially in a 3.
Remember nacho can also play in a back 3
Yeah but Monreal is also just coming back from injury and probably not match fit.
Plus he's probably going to get injured again pretty soon.

3 games in 6 day..... maybe.
that’s very unfortunate. We need to buy a CB in January now...
The minor positive (?) is it might accelerate the search for a new 1st team defender
We don't need another back up as Holding is, we really need someone to become a first choice CB as Kos is too old and Mustafi too error prone.
Definitely need a new CB in Jan. basically only have Mustafi and Sokratis who are experienced and reliable so far fitness wise. Kos fitness is a concern, and who knows how good he’ll be now with his age . We’ve got mavropanos, who looks to have good potential, but certainly can’t be relied upon yet, plus he’s coming back from injury. Only leaves monreal who is good, but aging, is a LB, and coming back from the sidelines also. An injury to Sokratis or Mustafi and we are pretty fecked. Mustafi isn’t even a good option to have at best of times!
Luckily we are close to January. So I hope the club act
