The knives will be out tonight

I’ll be on Puel no more or less whatever tonight’s result.

Why don’t you start hoping he gets some good results and performances Nev? It’s almost like you’re also waiting for him to fail but blaming the fans?

I hope we put in a good display tonight like the first half vs Watford, and we all come away with hope for Puel. I fear we won’t, but I hope we will.

I assume getting his thread in now that Nev's expecting a good thrashing and a poor performance tonight.

I don’t like the fact that the recent tragedy is being referenced here as a link to our recent home performances. Cardiff and Burnley were the games where respects were duly paid and the players will be professional enough on the pitch to do their job.

I see no differences in levels of performance, tactics or effort since those games to any matches that went before the tragedy

Nev does have some valid points here - very creditable.
However, i'm really concerned that Claude Puel has got to stop rotating a player/players that have a very good game, only to be rotated the next. This can't be good for said players morale or confidence?
If you play well you should be allowed to get yourself a run in the side to gain momentum.

If the next set of results don't yield significant points then i fear that his player rotation will be his downfall.
I hope he gets us settled though.

BS if you can't see the manager has done a good job getting the players through a difficult time then thats your lose.
I want us to go three at the back and play two up front i have never gone to any LCFC thinking not hoping we would win even if we go two down i will day what my dad said to me "its a good one to win"

What i can predict if we don't the ususal suspects will forget we don't have Marhez anymore and no manager even Pearson has brought in a second striker to replace Vardy and unlike some on here the players might still find it hard to play at home after the tradergy that happened here.
Idon't believe the manager want's them to play like they did on Wednesday and said so in the post match interview.
I am even annoyed with my mate stringy and co and their constant criticism and Piper given Ian a hard time.

I believe we are not doing bad and will get better anyone would think we where struggling in the bottom three.
Save your breath though he ain't going to get sacked this season

‘BS if you can't see the manager has done a good job getting the players through a difficult time then thats your lose’

That’s not what I said at all. What I said was that I see no tangible difference prior to the tragedy and after the Burnley game where things have returned to normality on the pitch.

I have no idea what Puel has been doing behind the scenes, maybe he has inspired them, maybe they inspired themselves, I have no idea. None of us do.

But let’s please stop using this tragedy as another reason for the at time underwhelming performances. They have been been happening all year

What I struggle with, is Puel’s criticism of the players game after game. On Wednesday he said “we were poor, that wasn’t good enough”.

The problem is, when that happens every game, the finger turns away from the players and points at the manager.

Puel needs to change our style or I believe he will ultimately pay the price. He must adapt his failing 4-2-3-1 formation and find a way of getting the most out of a talented squad, rather than criticising them for struggling to execute his plan game after game after game.

And let me make another prediction Nev, following your correct (in my view) prediction about Puel staying at Leicester. You’re right, I believe he will stay for the season.

Puel has come out and said Leicester have to be in Europe to hold on to players like Chilwell, Maguire and in the future, Maddison. I predict we won’t get a European place. And I predict 2 of those players will leave this season.

BS so predictable you have no compassion sometime much rather be mugging off the Wolves fans til they win. You just look and the players and the manager they are a tight knit bunch the 2v0 win and much better performance you are glossing over and the fact we have gone undefeated despite everything is down to what then?

Don’t make silly comments suggesting I’m not compassionate about what the players have been through. It’s completely beneath you, I was the first to pay tribute on here.

I think 7 games unbeaten is great, I’d like one or two more wins in that but accept it’s been a tough period. What I won’t do however is use the tragedy to excuse the kind of performances we have seen all year. Underwhelming, slow and poor build up play with little attacking intent.

The tragedy is behind us, we have to move on. The players are doing that and I see no difference in the performance against Fulham than in the first half vs West Ham before the tragedy happened.

Personally I think the Tragedy saved Puel from the Sack, I'm not sure how long for, until hey find a suitable replacement I'd guess in the Summer unless things improve in playing style.

posted on 8/12/18

TB you would because you don't want him here, he has got some great signings this summer and is making his own team.
How many teams like us would cope with the lose of one the best players in the world and still be in the position we are.
I know you aren't really interested just want to wind me up.

Riyad Mahrez is not one of the best players in the world He’s not even proven himself at Man City yet. You make it sound like we have lost Messi.

Mahrez was playing last season and for half of it we were terrible under Puel. 5 wins in 21 remember? What was the excuse then?

5 wins in 21 under Puel last season with Mahrez in the side disproves your argument completely.

And you’re attempts at trying to provoke a reaction by insults won’t work this time. Time to move on from fighting each other on this board, it’s pointless

You’re wrong as normal Nev, I don’t t want Puel out, I actually couldn’t care less about him either way, he’s just made me indifferent, he and his football are just so boring.

It’s only the Great squad he inherited and the excellent addition from the Club of Maddison that keeps us afloat.

PS we’re a better team with Maddison replacing Mahrez who Hasn’t been World class since the League Winning Season, he could easily be a very skilful
Player but still a one season Wonder.

Don't always like blackstarrs comments, but both he and Tb I think are talking sense.
We are not really progressing under Puel, and as appalling as the tragedy was, life and our club go on.
Calling people idiots just for having a different opinion is hardly justified.

So Marhez this season nine goals, five assists three premier league man of the match awards. In only ten starts and nine as sub world class performance from one of the best players in the world anyone who does not think so is an idiot in my opinion.

To be one of the best in the world you have to do it for more than just a few games. You have to do it consistently in all competitions at the highest level.

To say he’s up there with Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe etc just isn’t realistic. He’s a very good start, playing with some exceptional players I will add. Let’s see his stats next season, let’s see them in Europe with Man City, let’s see him take his club to a CL trophy. Then you’re talking about one of the best in the world

Most of Mahrezs goals and assists have come from off the bench.....

posted on 8/12/18

Let’s not forget Iheanachos stats were very impressive at Man City. Being surrounded by great players helps. As I say, let’s see him score in the CL final and win silverware at his club. At the minute he doesn’t even make City’s first 11 - no way is he one of the worlds best players right now

5 Premier League Goals in a team that makes even Stirling look good

Rarely gets a mention anywhere in media, in fact Maddison gets talked about more.

Of course he will get a second PL winners medal, he plays for Man City. So will Phil Foden if he makes a few appearances - wouldn’t make him world class.

If he was up there with Messi (which is what you’re saying) why didn’t Man City face any competition to sign him? Where were Barcelona? Real Madrid? Bayern Munich?

You’ve had a shocker today
