We were never going to score today even if we play for the next 24 hours.
But I am impressed by the shift our boys put in despite the defeat.

We've got by without De Bryune and Aguero but when David Silva's not at the races we can't compete with the top teams.

Ederson should be shot for letting that go out for a corner and shot again for his positioning from the resulting kick.

Fair play to Chelsea, just our luck to face them when they were back to their best in the 2nd half.

I thought it was a poor game tbh.

Why? Because it wasn't 6-6.

Agree Inky, that final third was lacking tonight, there were only one or two moves that were very well done, the rest was too predictable.

Jesus being off form isn’t helping either

Because both team's best players weren't at their best today, so the game lacked quality. ergo poor game, don't you agree ?

Think Chelsea made you have an off day tbh. They were excellent. Defensively and going forward, how they were able to play around your high press at times in that second half was brilliant.

I thought it was a great game. Really absorbing.

Chelsea set up pretty much like a bottom half side playing away at the Etihad ,always going to be a chore breaking that down
City had a number of players under par D Silva hasn't been right for a few games now,might of been the game to settle for a point and just ensure a clean sheet ,but in terms of fairness no complaints

We were chasing the game at that point so won't read too much to that.
But Chelsea played really well. Was hoping we will get a draw until the second goal went in. Then you know it's game over.

It was both, we weren’t anywhere near as inventive as we normally are and missed having a finisher up top.

Guardiola won’t be happy with some of the performances.

Regardless of whether it got a touch or not, Ederson was under no pressure and could have kept the ball in play.

Letting it go out would have been legitimate time wasting if we were 1-0 up but a senseless move when we're 1-0 down.

Walker hopefully would have a word from Pep about abandoning his post especially when we play a top team.
That space left behind by him was badly exploited today for their first goal.

Sane stopped tracking the run too.

Sterling didn't play well up front, none on the front players were great tbh. Dominated the first half without a huge amount of goal threat, outplayed in the second half by a team that wanted it much more.
