Pathetic saying Chelsea are a nasty club, here!

Focus on the racist, not the club and fans.

Got form though.

Ian Wright named Chelsea rather than target the bloke involved....pathetic antics labelling the whole club and support this way.

Chelsea are unwilling to condemn the fan until it has been determined he racially abused Sterling.

But if it is found the fan – easily identifiable – used racial slurs against the City star he will be banned for life by the club.

------------------------------------------------------

That is a clip from the article and I find it a little disturbing.

It has yet to be proved a racial incident and I won't take Ian Wrights comments as correct.

If it is racial driven then that adds an even darker element to it. What is beyond doubt is that they were abusing a fellow human being, who they've presumably never met and the line from the article suggests they will be banned if found guilty of racial abuse.

I personally feel that even if the abuse wasn't racial based they should be banned and face charges of some sort anyway as their behaviour was totally unacceptable on any level.

What make people feel they have the right to hurl abuse with such venom on someone carrying out their duties at their place of work, irrespective of their colour, creed or religion.

It wouldn't be tolerated in your office or factory floor - why should it be tolerated at a sporting event.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Abuse goes on at every football ground in the country, putting the racist stuff aside for a moment and just concentrating on general abuse, if I were a footballer on £50k a week and some diiickhead was screaming waaaanker or whatever at me, I'd just smile and rub my fingers together, as long as fans don't cross the line when it comes to abuse then I really don't see too much of a problem
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more. Just because someone is lucky enough to earn 10 x my annual salary in a week, I fail to see how that gives me the right to to behave like a moron and verbally abused them in such a vile manner!

stereotyping and generalizing much, Mr Wright?

anyone would think Chelsea had form for this

Think you've slipped on a potential bannana skin there!

Chelsea have always had a significant following from extreme right-wing groups like the National Front back in the 70s/80s. Then there’s the Headhunters, we’ll known bunch of racists, Combat 18 etc. Didn’t a Chelsea fan get done for racially abusing Danny Wellbeck too? Plus let’s not forget they sang through the minutes silence for hillsborough at Wembley
Completely abhorrent club and fans, wish they would disappear off the face of the earth and do football a favour
