Think Morespurs thinks this has something to do with Liverpool...
I think he probably handballs but must have been tough for ref to see it and maybe goes off Roofe's reaction.Either way sorry Steve Maclaren but we are so overdue a penalty we were going to get one at some point dubious or not.
don't give a rats 'rse to be fair, maybe things are just starting to even out a bit.
Me too, tough luck, I'll take the 3 points, thank you. Fortune favours the brave, huh?
Never a penalty but when there's thirty thousand plus screaming for one the refs gonna give it.
RR, if your theory is correct, why do we never get penalties?
It's not a theory, it's uman reaction. It's obvious the ref couldn't see it but he blew without even consulting the linesman.
As a referee, I:
1) could not see conclusively from the tv view and subsequent replays,
2) we cannot see what the referee saw, but being at least 30 yards away from the play (poor positioning, no anticipation) it is a tough sell,
3) we have no idea what his assistant said into the communication equipment they wear,
4) am aware that penalties are not given lightly at any level of the game.
Harsh on QPR perhaps, but we’ve had many poor ref decisions that haven’t gone our way so far, so we were due for one to go our way.
Don't care, pen given, Roofe scored 3pts NEXT !!
Have a look at the crowd reaction in this - as soon as he handles the ball, the roar for a penalty is deafening.

Eddie Gray also spotted a hand-to-ball in the action replay.
We have had about 10 penalty calls in the last year, many of them much clearer than that (Pontus getting his shirt ripped off him at Sheffield last week was a prime example).
At worst, this was a 50-50 call. Well done ref for making your mind up straight away and sticking to your guns.
You can be sure that if it had been a penalty for QPR, McLaren wouldn't have been whinging to the ref about it...but neither would Bielsa.
Looked a penalty to me in the north stand. Roofe knocks it over his head and it hits his arm. It was harsh as his arm wasn't above his head but it was handball. Not intentional but it blocked the ball.
Hard to see from the angle of the replay.
Looked a penalty from where I was, but obviously some distance away, so tended to react to the crowd reaction closer which was emphatic.
Perhaps justice for the shocking time wasting (after 20 mins ffs) & constant fouling by QPR players.
Was a pen. His hand blocked the ball. Simple
The fans cry for all sorts of decisions every game the majority I just chuckle at.
The bar for handling offenses has been raised this season by the IFAB.
In concept “ball to hand” hasn’t been an offense for ages.
Then a few seasons ago “intentional” was replaced by “deliberate.”
This season the following language was added tonLaw 12 “the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence.”
Bit naughty.
