I can’t believe that’s the case because if not us, someone else would have taken it because £25m for him is an absolute steal

The £25 million clause applies during the summer only and can only be activated up until the last two weeks of the window.

Him and Spurs have previously failed to finalise a new deal to replace his original contract.

Spurs put an offer of around £130,000 a week on the table, but his agents were asking for closer to £180,000 a week.

He will be 30 by the time next summer £25m isn't that much of a bargain deal for a player of that age.

So which is correct.

Spurs fans saying it starts in summer with no evidence for this, so far.

yes surely the extension only 'kicks in' when the current contract wouldve expired which is summer, so the clause would only be applicable at that point?

We wouldn’t accept that. You think a extra £10m is worth risking us potentially dropping down the league and out of competitions?

Atm both Sanchez and Verts fitness wise haven’t been reliable.

I don’t think you were very attractive last season. I’ve never said Poch doesn’t play attractive football. I am torn between him and zidane. Poch is more long term imo but either would be excellent for us. I do think there is a chance he could come to us or Madrid though and spurs fans saying there is zero chance are kidding themselves
