No team in the top 12 have scored fewer goals than us, but ...

only the top 3 teams have conceded fewer.

We need to make our pitch bigger as it plays into the clogger teams hands.

Townsend to score from 50yds then

Joking aside, a tough game for us given your (superb)form but i'll stick my neck out and say 0-1 1-2 to us.
As for tonight, have a great evening chaps and all the very best to you and yours in the coming year

Hadn’t realised that Saturday wasn’t the first time Raúl Jiminez had played at Wembley. He came on as a late substitute when Mexico beat Brazil to win the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal

Suppose the most memorable games between Wolves and Palace had come in the 1996/97 season. Under the management of Mark McGhee, Wolves had finished 3rd in the league and met Palace in the Play Off Semi Finals.

In the first leg at Selhurst Park, Palace were 1-0 ahead after 89 minutes but in a crazy end to the game ended up winning 3-1. Wolves won the 2nd leg at Molineux 2-1 but it wasn't enough.

That was probably the closest Steve Bull got to playing in the Premier League with Wolves.

Garth crooks team of the week comments

Willy Boly: His header to equalise was absolutely sensational and set Wolves up for a very impressive win against Spurs. Should Harry Kane have had a penalty when Boly appeared to impede the striker attacking the ball at the near post in the latter stages of the game? You bet your life he should. However, referee Stuart Attwell and his officials thought otherwise and that was the end of that.

Looked a dodgy challenge to me, but I guess decisions even themselves out over the course of a season. However, Kane is prone to dive a lot, hence his booking earlier.

Gonna be a tough one against a resolute Palace defence. Moutinho and Neves in the middle and if Jota's not fit to start, then Cavaliero, Jimenez and Costa up front for me.

He is a fool, but his team of the week articles get so many hits from people looking to pull it apart; that the people doing it are probably the ones keeping him in a job. They are probably amongst the most read articles on the football pages every week.

Personally don't know where to find his article but yeah it seems many can't wait to see it

Guess we all have pundits whose views we respect and those we don't. Cant think of many I have less time for than Garth Crooks. Paul Merson is getting closer by the week though

posted on 31/12/18

Don't really care what Crooks has to say, especially as it's got naff all to do with the Palace game.

This is the free speech preview thread wolfie where threadsters are encouraged to talk about anything they want to, tell funny anecdotes, get things off their chest, etc.
If we stuck rigidly to comments about the Palace game there would only be about 8 comments on here

posted on 31/12/18

I think we should talk about anything we want.

Bit chilly here today, but tomorrow will be better

The problem with football punditry is that everyone will follow their own team, Crooks, Merson, Sheaer et al.
No way was Willy's was a pen. Any road up, how many have we not been given ?

willy looked to be holding kane back when outside the area. but took his arm away when inside

Yes, and if the ref gave a pen for that, there would be about 20 every game.
