Anyone remember the FIFA game (94 or 95) where the ref would chase your player round the pitch if you ran off whilst he was booking you?

95
My first football game then was the aptly named Football Manager from 1981- i only played it around 85/86 but even then was more watching my uncle and also signing an 18 year old Tony cottee!
But Sensi was my real introduction to football and I can't even imagine how many hours I poured into that.

First was probably Football Manager on ZX Spectrum. You could cheat by breaking into the program during the match highlights and telling it which goal to shoot at. And the nets were the size of houses.
Best, and by a long, long way, is Kick Off 2 on ST/Amiga. I dread to think how many hours I spent on that game.
Does anybody remember Player Manager for PlayStation 1 I think? All players had a rating of 1-5. You got to name yourself as the player manager who got rated 5 but if you got promoted your older players who were rated 5 went down to 4. Also if you were a division below if you signed a player rated 4 he became 5. Always used to be Leicester as they had a few young players rated 4 who would go up to 5 later. And always bought Kavalashvilli or something from City who was amazing.
You could also buy whoever you wanted by bidding for a player then reducing it slightly until you got it right down to zero. Think it was about 94 or 95.
Nobody ever played RedCard? By far the greatest football game of all time, simply for it's absolute awfulness. Even thinking about the commentary makes me laugh, everything in monotone... "What a strike!" As the ball trickles out by the corner flag. "That will be a goal kick" as the ball clearly hits the back of the net and you're back at kick-off. Drop kicking Beckham, headbutting the referee, playing a team of Penguins from Antartica, what more could you want?
Earliest FIFA I remember well is FIFA SOCCER 64. (First N64 release, not 1964 )
Favourite FIFA is tied between 2003 (Edgar Davids on the front), with the absolute worldies you could score from free kicks or World Cup 98, the only FIFA World Cup game worth owning. The theme song along makes me smile.
Best PES for me is the current one. Haven't played it for years though, finally got fed up with buying FIFA.

98 was the only World Cup game I ever liked. Best FIFA was 2009 for me. I was outstanding at it, in the top 50. Then they took away passing and running and Terry became faster than Torres and every game became boring pass pass pass, sideways pass, pass pass pass. It's got worse every year since then.
Just realised Italia 90 was the first football game I played . It came with my Sega megadrive. I think it was part of a 3 in 1, the other 2 games were Columns and Super Hang On. I was 6 when I first got my Sega and didn't really get into football until I was 8 so sparingly played Italia 90, I was crap at it until I was 8. The music was funky but you could only see the players head
